young girl named May is the daughter of the month January and she goes to all the other months to find her mother. this is a picture book and it is beautifully illustrated. I remember it being called something like "the adventures of may" or something like that.

I read this between 1999 and 2004 ish. The illustrations as far as I remember were paints/watercolors. They were realistic but imaginative.

I am still looking for this. I read it from around 2001-5 ish, and I can't quite remember the illustrations but it seems like they were painted. They were very vivid and colorful.
