I will be first to kick this off then. My name is Alan Kearns, aged 47 (it doesn't hurt much!) and live with my family in Fife. I have had an on/off relationship with writing all my life; the highlight being winning the Emily Fleming Short Story Award in 2001...pity I never followed up on that. But this year I am going to make a real effort to write more and share it. I enjoy reading (lots of authors) and classical music. There you go folks...it's your turn now!

Carys Jones Hi! I'm Carys Jones, 28. I've got a book coming out at the start of April which I'm frantically promoting at the moment.

I love writing and am lucky enough to work full time as a writer.

When I'm not writing I'm watching trashy TV or walking my dog!

Dylan (DDRRead) | 3 comments Hullo, I'm Lee (43). I've been chancing my arm at the writing game since 2004. Started with lit fic and had a lot of short and flash fiction pubbed in various ezines, but Fantasy/Adventure is what I really love so that's what I mostly write these day. Had a few small press print publications recently,(and have a couple more lined up) but mostly self publish.

look forward to reading some of your fantasy material Lee. Is it sword and sorcery based....Tolkien type?

Dylan (DDRRead) | 3 comments Hey, Alan. Thanks for asking. I've got one short story (Born of Evil) that is very traditional Swords and Sorcery, a couple that are Pratchettesque, and two historicals. One of which is a light-hearted pirate romp, the other is more in the Bernard Cornwall vein (A Hound Against Hawks and Wolves). The short story I'm working on now is S&S in an fantasy Indian setting (and will feature my first attempt at a female lead character).

Leo Borgelin Hi everyone! I just joined. My name is Leo Borgelin and I'm writing the next big book. It's called the Sun Came Through My Window to Say Hello. I'm planning to reach 50 million people to read this book. I'm excited to be part of this group and to see what the UK Fiction world is like.
