[bo..."Talia I've been debating reading The Walking Dead comics but I don't want to spoil what may happen in the next season of the show! What's your opinion?
Sydney, I'd recommend reading them! I love the show and just recently started reading the graphic novels to get some clues on where the show is heading, but there are lots of things that are different in the graphic novels: a few characters that aren't in the show and a few plot changes. So that makes it interesting because I really don't know what's going to happen next in the books.
Okay great! I knew that the novels and the show are pretty different but I still want to be able to speculate about what may happen next in the show and be surprised when stuff happens.
Ok I'm a lurker but I'm shooting for: Divergent series: 1/3
Game of thrones 0/5
Those two for now.
Would love to do sookie stackhouse but that might have to wait.
Welcome Jamie! The whole Game of Thrones series is quite an undertaking. All of the books are so big! I am currently on the fourth book. It is a great series. Good luck.

Great idea would love to join the challenge. There are so many series I would love to finish, but I will try and be realistic. The Robin Paige Victorian mysteries series. Need to read:
Stieg Larson's Millennium Trilogy
Was not a fan of the Hunger Games and so need so motivation to finish this series so I can make an objective judgement;
Sadly dropping Elizabeth Peters Amelia Peabody series. Want to take that one slow. I will feel I little heartbroken when I get to the end.
Adding:
Michelle, I love that Robin Paige series! I need to get back to that series soon.
I LOVE this challenge. I have been trying to finish a bunch this year. I already finished 3. 5/5 seriesThe Gabriel Allon Series 13/13
Archie and Gretchen Series 6/6
Women's Murder Club Series 13/13
Samantha Owens Series 2/2
Ty Hauck Series 3/3

Hi Claire,
I already have a Claire listed in the challenge. Is there a last initial I can add to your name so that I don't mix up updating either one of your progress?

Honestly, it is up to you all. To me, we are in a group that wants to promote and celebrate reading and books. I am okay if people want to start a few days early. Our group is casual, no pressure. It isn't like we are competing against each other. There are no points and no one wins anything. I don't think it hurts anything if people want to start early. That is just me and my thoughts though. If the group is really against this, I would certainly respect it.
Well, Jodi, if it is okay to start early, I finished A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin last night. I'd started it less than 2 weeks ago. It's the 5th and most recent book of the Song of Ice and Fire series. The next book is due out sometime in 2015.

Jodi, from what I understand, there are 8 books planned, and maybe more. I just saw a couple of articles indicating that the 6th, The Winds of Winter, is still being written. The author has said it would be published "when it's finished." It looks like we'll have books to look forward to for several years.
Put me in for three. If I finish those, I'll put another one in, but I do have other stuff to read. I'll only post when I finish a series, not just a book. Cool idea, definitely motivates me to get back to those series! The Unwind dystology: 1/3 completed
Bloodlines series: 3/4 completed
The Monstrumologist series: 1/4 completed

Hi Brianna,
I have another Brianna on the list already. Can I add an initial from your last name so that it won't be confusing.
There are two Claires that are taking part in the challenge. Is there any way I can add the first letter of your last names to help me keep your progress straight?
Michelle wrote: "Maiko, I love this series and The Cabinet of Curiosities was one of my favorites. Enjoy!"Thanks Michelle,
I do love this series, too. The more gory details and stranger it becomes, the better...
Jodi,Could you please update me to 2 series, please? I've updated my initial target in Message 71
Thanks in advance
I'll join for 3!1. Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba; Art by Takeshi Obata: 8/12
2. The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare: 0/5 (The 6th Book comes out in Late May of this year [as far as I know]. I don't know if I'll be able to get to it/have access to it, so....the first 5 books of the series are fine, right?)

I am a serial series reader! It seems like 99% of the books that I read are part of a series. But I'm terrible about actually keeping up to date with those series. So this will be a great challenge for me!! I'm signing up for 3 series. I highly doubt I meet this goal, but I will be excited just to get back into these series!!
David Baldacci's King & Maxwell series (I have read 2/6)

Tara, I see you're a fellow Cotton Malone fan! I have the same books on my list for this challenge. I received 3 of the short ebooks in this series for Christmas, but I might hold off on those for now. Good luck with your challenge!
