Salem shuddered. "Yeah...I don't remember it but I'm guessing it was bad if my mind doesn't want me to see it," she smiled at Josiah. "Thanks for the necklace..."

The rest of the school day dragged on, and it seemed like weeks had passed before it was time for lunch. Abby hesitated at the entrance to the cafeteria. She didn't have anyone to sit with, and she didn't want to be a pest and try and find Matt.

Matt saw Abby hesitating at the entrace of the cafeteria. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to an empty table.

"Ow!" Abby winced as her bruised leg hit the table.

Matt glanced at her. "You okay?"

[Elliott]

"Well, seeing as you kind of just slammed me into a table, the answer would be no," Abby said, with a small smile, even though her leg still hurt.

Matt frowned slightly. "Sorry."

[Elliott]

"It's okay," Abby said, sitting down. "No big deal."

[Julian]

Matt sat down across from her.

Abby ate a few bites of her apple awkwardly. "Just go sit with your friends," she said after a few minutes of silence.

Matt grinned. "I'm okay."

Abby shrugged and finished her apple.

Matt watched her eat.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Abby said after she'd thrown her apple in the trash.

"Alerady did."

"When?"

"Third period."

"So why are you at lunch now?" Abby said, confused.

Matt shrugged.

"I don't think I can take anymore of this," Abby said randomly.

Matt raised an eyebrow.

"School," she expanded. "I hate it."

He nodded. "I'm sorry."

"You like school, don't you?" Abby said.

"Yeah," he said.

Abby laughed.

Matt watched her, curiously.

"You would," she said through giggles. "You would," she repeated.

Matt shrugged. "Yes, I would."

Abby couldn't seem to stop laughing. She laid her head down on the table, shaking with laughter.

Matt shook his head, smiling slightly.

"It's not even that funny," she choked out.

"No, it's not," he said, smiling amusedly.

She finally got calmed down, stopped laughing, and wiped the tears out of her eyes. She looked back up at Matt and burst into laughter that she was trying hard to surpress.

Matt pulled out his earbuds.

The fact that Matt was just sitting there listening to music made Abby laugh harder.

Matt was slightly concerned for her.

"Excuse me," Abby said, and got up, headed towards the bathroom so she could splash hot water on her face and hopefully calm down.

[Julian]

Matt watched her go.

[Elliott]

Abby stepped into the bathroom, still tittering and turned on the faucet.
"What's your problem?" a girl who was washing her hands said in a snotty voice.
"Just happy I guess," Abby said, trying to take Ben's advice.

"You kind of passed out.." Josiah admitted shrugging. He moved over to her side, "And your welcome. But what are you doing up this early?"

She narrowed her eyes at him. "Did you know your eyes just went silver for a second?"
