"Hate what?" Dani asked, trying to understand.

Damien, for once, listened to what his friend's emotions told him.Salem sighed. I know Emmy. But I also don't know how to explain this feeling...
((Um. Explain.))
Dani nodded. "Um. Explain?"
Dani nodded. "Um. Explain?"
((he's a shifter, and a jumper making it all up as I go))Emmy looked over at her
Like what?
"I don't have all day boys. And I'd like my food so if you please." Emmy said waving her hand at the frozen people
"Ummm, it's a long story." Declan sighed
Dani nodded again and let the subject drop. "You okay?"
((Okay, cool...And what exactly does that mean?))
Damien unfroze time and with the change Salem felt a release of pressure. And leaned back against the seat, feeling tired from holding out againt his time attack.Something about that one, Josiah. He seems...familiar. But we already said that...it's weird Em. I've never felt it...except with you. But that can't be!
Damien said nothing.
"Yeah. I will be." Declan nodded ((it means he can change into animals at will and that he can transport himself into diff demensions.))
Dani kept watching him worriedly.
Emmy didn't feel anything as time shifted back into play. She looked back at Salem then JosiahI know, I know. It's nagging the hell out of me. And he controls Shadows. if you didn't notice that little thing.
Josiah sat there quietly looking between the two girls.
I did notice...Em, he's a lot like us. Salem closed her eyes and thought to herself, Today has been too damn much.Damien wondered how it would turn out if neither of them spoke.
Declan looked at her"I'm fine. Honestly"
Yeah, I really don't like it. I'm good with violence, but pressure and lives on my shoulders. I'm tired Salem, I'm just tired. Emmy sighed then looked at Josiah again
"I'm done." She sighed standing
"I don't care who you work for. Just leave us alone."
Josiah looked confused
" We haven't even done anything yet"
Dani nodded slowly, not convinced.
Salem stood as well and her gaze was almost anxious beneath the dark. She was stark tired. "Just don't. Leave us and we'll leave you, got it?"Damien didn't make a move nor a sound. He would make no promises.
"Okay. I believe you." she said after a moment.
Emmy inhaled and leaned towards Damien"If I see you around my family again I will make sure you and everyone you ever thought to care about, will regret ever meeting me." she was loosing time and patience.
Josiah nodded
"We don't doubt it."
Declan nodded
Dani half-smiled carefully at him.
Salem ignored her own advice and flicked her fingers, making the tiniest tongue of fire catch on Josiah's hand. "Doubt only causes pain."Damien frowned.
Dani's smile widened the slightest bit.
Emmy didn't say another word. She just threw some bills down on her table and left.Josiah sighed
"Well done Damien. Well done."
"So what are you even doing out here?" Declan asked
Dani shrugged, "I needed to get out. You?"
"Oh shut up," he said irritably. "Did you notice the change?"Salem slipped out behind Emmy with a slightly off-kilter set of steps. "This was a bad idea."
Annana Flambe du Mort (Erica) wrote: ""Why?" she asked."
"Both. But in the time freeze, it was Salem. You were supposed to be watching her, dumbass." Damien said."I'm not talking to you or about you, so shut up," Salem closed her eyes and stopped, leaning against the wall for a moment.
Declan looked up at the sky"There comes a point when you get claustrophobic in your own life. I just needed to see tha stars and get out."
Dani smiled faintly. "Yeah. Or..." she trailed off, shaking her head.
"I was a bit busy getting lit on fire." Josiah said coolyEmmy bit back her retort but instead asked
"You ok?"
"Or what?" Declan asked
Damien grinned. "I did notice how they both targeted you for that.""Yes, no, maybe. I don't know. I'm just tired, Em." She opened her eyes.
"Try to escape your life." she made a face. "Turns out you can't. well, you could, but..." she shook her head.
"Because I had the knife." he glowered "That she never gave back." "We should go home." Emmy stated looking around. "I hate being here anylonger than I have to."
"It's harder than it sounds." Declan sighed
((I gtg night))
Dani sighed. "Yeah. Even when there's nothing left."

((night, talk to you tomorrow))
"Why would she give it back?" Damien said. "And it's a wonder they never noticed my weapons."
Salem nodded. "I was hoping for that."

"Great," Gwen smiled. "And you, how have you been doing, besides the shadows"

"All the more reason to welcome you," Shannon said her smile sickly sweet. She had to find out more about this guy and if it meant she had to be nice to him, then she'd do it.
Ben smiled, indifferent. He just wouldn't care. That would tick her off.... "Well, thanks again..."
Shannon stopped smiling and pushed past him into his apartment, still holding the cookies. She pursed her lips, "Well, it's not great," she said looking at the furnishings and decorations.
Ben laughed. "Well, I'm not a girl, nor am I gay, therefore, I don't care all that much for interior design." he crossed his arms.
Darn it, that didn't work. "Well, I got to go," Shannon said and gave him a small smile. "Bye" She walked out the door, with the plate of cookies she had brought for him.
Ben closed the door behind her, relieved that she'd gone.
Shannon didn't think there was anyway to get under his skin. She really needed to keep track of her neighbors. She sat on her couch and turned the TV on to some show called McKenzie Falls. She ate the chocolate chip cookies and watched the drama unfold.
Ben turned the volume down the slightest bit and played Weezer. He grabbed The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler and sat down to read.
