"Don't," he murmured.

He shook his head and put a finger over her lips. "Please. Just don't. Don't apologize. If you do, I will, too." He smiled crookedly.
"I thought you wouldn't." He lowered his finger and ran a hand through her hair. "Do you know how beautiful you are?"
((I kinda thought she'd not react right to that. Remember, Ellis said that? Or did she really not remember what happened?))
((Okay. I thought she remembered.))
Sean stumbled a few steps backwards. "What? What's wrong?"

((Sorry I was gone a minute.))
Sean hesitated before going to her and kneeling beside her. "I'm so sorry," he murmured, "I didn't know, Shadow, didn't know it would upset you..."
Sean hesitated before going to her and kneeling beside her. "I'm so sorry," he murmured, "I didn't know, Shadow, didn't know it would upset you..."

Shadow tensed and put her hands on her thighs. "Don't be friggin' sorry. Just stop!"
((Okay. I don't watch them... because I don't have cable TV. XD))
"Salem. Shadow. I didn't know." He didn't touch her, only spoke gently, his eyes filled with apologies.

She relaxed a little, the urge to hit him fading, and she glared at him instead. "You don't need to know. Just don't say it."
"I won't say it again," he swore quietly.
He hesitantly covered her hand with his own.
"Shadow... I'm so sorry I made you upset," he said earnestly.
He flinched and took his hand away. "What else am I supposed to say? Should I just say nothing and let you guess that I regret having made you upset? You're leaving me no clues as to why you're upset, only that I can't do or say certain things, and I'm supposed to just go along with it? Why? Why, Shadow?"
He frowned and looked away. "I don't want to fight with you. I don't want it to be like this. I just want everything to be alright, or if it's not then I want to be able to make it right. But I can't. And everything's going wrong."

He turned his head towards her and looked at her with sadness filling his eyes. "Shadow, you're gone from him now. Try to forget him."
((Ah, if only he knew... *evil laugh*))
Lizzie had disappeared behind a tree somewhere, and was talking urgently in a whisper to a boy her age, who was arguing in a calm, even tone. "You must stay with them. No, no one else will do. You are perfect for the job. Think of it as an honor," he was saying.
Lizzie was shaking her head, but eventually she gave in with a resigned sigh. "Fine. I'll stay with them. But don't expect me to be happy about it."
He grinned. "I don't. Just don't act suspicious."

((Well, yeah!))
He sighed and tentatively raised a hand to touch her cheek, ready to be pushed away but wanting to soothe her and make her feel better. "So he had said that to you?"

Emmy stood waiting tattoos already glowing.

Blaze snapped to attention and Teeghan pulled Avery closer.
((Yay! Agh, but I'll have to go soon. Good thing my charries won't be needed much. XP))
Sean stood, too. "Where's Lizzie?" He muttered, looking around. He frowned slightly as she appeared from behind a tree. "They're close," he told her. "Are you ready?"

Shadows appeared from out of nothing and stood there. Each kid had their own little army to deal with. Emmy smiled at the ones facing her, they all looked a little frightened. And with just cause.

Teeghan didn't know how she'd fight with Avery.
Shadow smiled. "Brothers," she joked.
Blaze stepped forward.

Emmy laughed and fire sprang up engulfing the ones around her. She stepped through and did the same for Teeghan.
Rife was holding his own against his horde.
Liv whipped the shadows around.
Patrik had already frozen or killed most of his.
((Yeah. Drama is fun! When you're writing it, anyway.))
Lizzie scowled at Sean. "Yes, yes." When the Shadows appeared she felt slightly afraid, but then they completely ignored her, and started towards Sean. Her eyes widened and she bit her lip. She couldn't let him get hurt... it wasn't part of her job. She stood in front of him and said, "Go away!"

The shadows walked right around her.
"It'll take more than that norm." Emmy growled turning on Lizzie.

Teeghan thanked Emmy with a nod.
Blaze had managed to kill two of them, but it wsa hard to get his power to work that quickly.
Lizzie ignored Emmy, closing her eyes and trying to use her power on one of the Shadows, seeing if it would leech their power away or if it would do anything at all.

"Move it you two."
Patrik ran over to Emmy.
"I think we got more comming."
Emmy turned and looked at him, she winked
"It wouldn't be homecomming if there weren't."

Lizzie opened her eyes and looked to Sean. "I don't know what to do!" she said breathlessly.
Sean shook his head and said, "Just get in the middle."
Lizzie shook her head, too. "They don't care about me, it's yourself you should worry about!"

"We all know how the last thing you wanted to try went." Patrik commented.
"Shut up and come here." Emmy said waving him over. She closed her eyes and put her hands by her sides Palm up. She stayed like that for a second then opened her eyes.
"Shadow problem, dealt with." She grinned
Sean laughed quietly, relieved. "Cool."
Lizzie was disturbed by the fact that the things- the shadows- had just ignored her.
