SOLVED. Children's picture book: paths lined with glass bottles [s]

The book is at least 12 years old. It's a book I read out loud to my kids and I believe it was read to them in school so young elementary age group.

The children built their own little town maybe in a desert type area or on a hill top. I'm not sure but it wasn't the beach or the woods. It was a small area for imaginary playing.

Their streets were lined with glass bottles. Instead of using rocks for their boundary lines they used glass bottles.

Possibly Roxaboxen?

There's another similar book that I've been looking for myself. I thought it was Roxaboxen, but the illustrations aren't quite right. I'll post it if I ever find it.
