The goal: read 3 books chosen from the "To Read" shelf of 1 Friend from Our Novel Escape.

Here are the rules:

---> Sign up for this challenge in this thread. Please no PM's. Thanks
---> On September 20th (West Australian Time), I will pull names and assign you a friend (someone from this Board).
---> You will browse your assigned friend's TO READ shelf and select 3 books for them to read this Winter/Summer.
--->Please make sure to link the book titles using the add book/author feature located at the top of the comment box. This makes it easier for your pair to access the book quickly.
---> Post your list along with the selected friend's name, in this thread.
---> You will have until the start of Summer/Winter (December 20th) to read the 3 books selected to complete the challenge. Don't forget, you have until September 21st to complete the Winter/Summer Reading Challenge if you haven't already.
---> N.B. If you have any questions please just ask.

--->Please note: You start reading your books for this challenge on the 21st September.

Shan ~A~ | 4 comments I'm in. I would like my partner to either use Hoopla or Book I own. On the books I own shelf there are plenty that I haven't read yet, and so many of my books I haven't had a chance to add that I hope to add later.

I have exceeded my book budget for the year, so if I can't borrow it or already own it, I will not be able to read it.

Hey, Shan! For your fall reading I went through your "books I own" list and chose:

On the Street Where You Live by Mary Higgins Clark On the Street Where You Live - Clark is pretty much my favorite writer! I can't stop getting more people into her work.

A Sudden Change of Heart by Barbara Taylor Bradford A Sudden Change of Heart - I've never actually read anything by Taylor, but I've heard great things. This one sounds like the perfect thing for long evenings at home once the weather starts to turn.

The Promise (The Lady Quill Chronicles, #1) by D.D. Chant The Promise - The ratings on this book are all four and five star. Who knows, maybe it'll be a series to keep digging into over the winter.

Enchanted, Inc. (Enchanted, Inc., #1) by Shanna Swendson because this is a super fun series!

Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by David Levithan because I haven't read it yet either. (hint, hint)

Station Eleven

I read it and was amazed how good it was.

Next I'm picking
Red Rising
Because we both had it on the list to read

Rachel Congratulations Kristina!!!

message 37: by Stacie Lauro (new)

Stacie Lauro | 78 comments Unfortunately, the worry never goes away but it is worth every second! Eleonore is such a beautiful name! I have 3 girls, they are a blessing!

message 38: by Shan ~A~ (new)

Shan ~A~ | 4 comments Victoria, I finally have your picks. It was tough because I didn't want to just pick books at random and your taste are a lot more sophisticated than mine.

1. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou ~ I read it before I discovered Goodreads and I loved it. I plan to read it again someday to familiarize myself with it.

2. Austenland by Shannon Hale ~ I saw the movie, didn't realize it was based on a book, and thought it was quite charming. Although the rating is not as high as I would have liked.

3. Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell ~ I have always wanted to read it, plus it is one of my all time favorite movies.

I hope you enjoy.

Hi, Shan! I just saw your post asking which shelf you should use. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner on that!

You did an excellent job on your picks for me!!!! I've been meaning to read Angelou's book FOREVER, I've really been wanting to read Austenland sometime this fall, AND, oddly enough, I just grabbed my copy of Gone With The Wind to take along on my week away.

Thanks!!!! I'm excited about my reading this fall! You've given me JUST the push I need. :)

message 40: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 12 comments Thanks, Allie - great picks! Here are my choices for you:

Fall of Giants (The Century Trilogy, #1) by Ken Follett ,
