Blurb:

It’s 1956, and President Eisenhower is sending advisors to South Vietnam to help defeat Ho Chi Minh’s Northern Army. The NSA recruits Myles for Operation Beehive, a plan to place intercept vans deep in Vietcong territory. Before deploying to Saigon, he falls in love with a young Tokyo fashion model. Meanwhile, a fellow officer turns traitor and passes Beehive secrets to a North Vietnam agent which puts the operation in peril. The story takes many twists and turns as Myles’ and Yoshiko’s love affair flourishes and his NSA assignment becomes deadly.

Not only is this a good military historical novel, it has a sweet romance aspect as well. I learned quite a lot about the early involvement of the U.S. In the build up to involvement in the Viet Nam war. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Has anyone else read this book? There are only six reviews on Amazon including mine. All have s five star rating. Historically accurate and well written history buffs will enjoy Ladybug by Sean Mikell.
