The book starts off with a little girl, aged 10(ish) who is an orphan and lives with her aunt. One day she is kidnapped by two men and taken to a place where her and other abducted children are forced to work in places such as a laundry. The main character works in the laundry and plans to escape. She collects a bottle full of tears from all the other children and escapes to show the townsfolk what is happening in this place that they are unaware of. She then goes back to free all her friends.

When did you read it? Is this children's, YA, or adult? Chapter book? Picture book? What language did you read it in?
I read it a few years ago. I believe its a children's book but I'm not really sure as it could be a YA fiction. It was definitely a chapter book and I read it in English.
It's hard to remember but I think the book you're describing might be:The Wolves of Willoughby Chase by Joan Aiken

I looked at the book and unfortunately it's not The Wolves of Willoughby. Also, the book doesn't contain any supernatural creatures.
How many years ago is a "few years ago?"Anything about the cover?
Part of a series?
Time period/location story takes place?

I read it while I was in school. So sometime between 2010-2012. I don't remember the cover and as far as I knew it didn't have a sequel. Also, I think the time period is the 21st century and I don't remember the name but I know that it was set in a small city.
You're welcome, it's the third time I see it looked for since I joined this group. I almost feel like I've read it :)
