Ash (ashlhart) Hello! As we are all lovers of books, I thought it would be nice to share books that we've read this year (or last year!) that really stuck with us. Maybe we can just list them and if anyone is interested we can elaborate on what we liked, disliked, etc?

I just read The Marriage of Opposites by Alice Hoffman and I really really loved it! I found it through the local public librarian's recommendation list. I also loved Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel - I found this book through my daily Skimm newsletter surprisingly.

What about you guys? Anything you loved and recommend?

My favorite book from this year so far is The Girl Who Wrote in Silk by Kelli Estes. It's historical fiction, meets contemporary mystery with a dash of light romance thrown in for color. If you are remotely interested in any of these themes I definitely recommend this to you.

Leo(nie) (lemongreen_bird) There were a lot of books I really liked this year (The Martian anyone? I'm so stoked for the movie <3)
But the one I loved most and the one I'm telling everyone to just read already is Ancillary Justice. It's really outstanding and inventive science fiction.

Ash (ashlhart) I have yet to read The Martian but I really really want to! The movie looks great as well, which doesn't always happen.

I added Ancillary Justice to my to-read list! Looks interesting!

Ash (ashlhart) And I should've added that I am reading The Gilded Hour right now and I'm in looooooove! Its so good but so long. I have such a weak spot for historical fiction!
