I very pleased to have found this group. My name is Troy Kechely and I'm the founder of Big Sky Rottweiler Rescue. I'm also an instructor for law enforcement/animal control on dealing with dogs safely and wrote a book years ago (no longer in print) titled Management of Aggressive Canines for Law Enforcement. I still teach and provide expert testimony in bite incidents upon special request but my efforts of late have been writing fiction. My first novel, Stranger's Dance, has a dog as a supporting character because so often in our lives the dogs are a critical part of where we end up and who we become as people.
I look forward to discussions and learning from everyone here.

I am new to this group also, although I've been a member of Good Reads for a while, I haven't been active, but plan to change that! I am a columnist for "Just Labs" magazine and the American Kennel Club's "Family Dog" magazine, I specialize in writing about working dogs and working dogs/related programs in the conservation field. I am also the admin for the Dog Writers of America (DWAA) facebook page. Please check us out and join us!
I am an avid reader, enjoy narrative nonfiction and memoirs with a canine as a central focus.
I look forward to being part of this group, thanks!

My website is full of pictures of the real-life dogs that have inspired the dog characters in my book. Should you be curious, you can have a look here: www.margaretstandafer.com
I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone with book suggestions and further inspiration on how dogs can make life all the more wonderful.

My dog Bo and I just had an article posted on the Dogster site a couple of weeks ago and I just spent a weekend at Bark World in Atlanta with a BUNCH of dog and cat people.
Should be great fun chatting here!

Being a book nut, publishing my own book was a huge thrill!!

Intuitive Animal Connections is a heartwarming true story about the lessons learned from abandoned dogs after the author saved them from euthanasia.
These touching stories may inspire you to connect on a deeper level with your own pet, seeing them in a whole new light. You may never look at animals the same way again!

Intuitive Animal Connections

This is my own dog book: Dog!: You'll Never Look At Your Dog the Same Way Again.

It's not for everyone (in particular, it's definitely 18+). But I couldn't have written it if I didn't love dogs. Especially mutts. And even more, rough collies.

I'm very glad to meet you Kristin and love what you do.

I just joined your group because I write books about a dog name Lady Bird, a beagle, who supports and provides therapy to children with special needs. I just released my second book on August 21, 2016. I am also a book reviewer for Readers' Favorite. I saw your group and thought I could learn from your experiences in writing and marketing your books about pets.

You can find out more about my passions at www.jandohner.com.
And I will be holding a giveaway as well!

My name is Janet Squires and I'm new to this group. I'm a writer with a special interest in animal rescue and welfare issues. I've fostered numerous dogs in addition to the rescues that are part of my family. I've worked to raise awareness about puppy mills, bailed dogs out of shelters, bottle-fed orphaned puppies, cared for the sick and injured, assisted at births, and shed tears over abandoned or abused dogs that didn't survive in spite of heroic efforts by veterinarians. I support a variety of rescue organizations.
