message 151: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Oh, good. So, what's your favorite candy?" She yawned slightly, still eyeing the bowl for any leftover cashews.

message 152: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "I don't eat sweets," he replied, shrugging. He liked spicy things.

message 153: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "What do you eat?" she asked, jaw dropping. Who didn't eat sweets? "Don't you like birthday cake and ice cream?"

message 154: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "It's fine, but I'd rather birthday chili and pepper sauce," he said, laughing softly.

message 155: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) She wrinkled her nose. "I think chili is good, with chips. But pepper is only good to an extent. I was really bad at seasoning soup when I was little." Oh, and she remembered THAT fact, out of everything.

message 156: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "I meant pepper as in jalapeno," he said, shrugging. "And the chili should be homemade, and extra spicy."

message 157: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Spicy hurts my-" she grabbed her tongue, "-Thongue."

message 158: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "I like it," he said, laughing softly.

message 159: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Does it hurt your tongue?" she asked, seemingly confused.

message 160: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Not really, no," he replied, shaking his head.

message 161: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "It's like eating fire," she said, sniffing slightly, "Not very good at all, you always end up spitting it back out."

message 162: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "I like fire," he said, shrugging.

message 163: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "To eat?" she marveled. She'd tried eating her own fire yet and felt like barfing ashes for days.

message 164: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Sure. Only someone else's, though," he replied.

message 165: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Why only someone else's?" she asked, wondering if she had done something wrong, and actually holding a coherent conversation.

message 166: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Well, if you eat your own fire, it tastes bad," he said, shrugging.

message 167: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Oh." She considered that, then sighed. "I guess I've only had selective experience, then. Do you like cashews?" Those weren't spicy at all.

message 168: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Yes. Why?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

message 169: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "But those aren't spicy," she pointed out, "Do you like dipping them in hot sauce or something?"

message 170: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Not everything has to be spicy, I just like most things that are," he said, shrugging.

message 171: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Oh." She chewed her lip slightly, playing with the sleeve of her fuzzy pajamas. "So, are there any really hot foods that you don't like?"

message 172: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Not really, but I can't say I've eaten everything," he replied.

message 173: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "So, you could eat pepper and cinnamon straight from the containers?" She stuck out her tongue, like it was something she might have tried once, accidentally.

message 174: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "That sounds like a silly thing to do, but possibly," he replied, laughing.

message 175: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "You must have a throat of steel," Khia marveled, stroking a strand of hair that looked very much like a feather, like it couldn't decide if it wanted to be hair or fluff.

message 176: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "I'm sure you're exaggerating," he said.

message 177: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Have you ever tried to eat cinnamon plain? People have died from the one tablespoon challenge thing," she said, shuddering.

message 178: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "That's because it causes a reaction in your throat that's dangerous. It's silly," he answered.

message 179: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Oh." she looked down. "Do you like cashews?"

message 180: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Yes," he replied.

message 181: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "NO- I- I already said that. Sorry. Do you like go fish?" She reached into her pocket, like she was very painstakingly trying to remember something, and pulled out a deck of cards.

message 182: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Um... sure," Crimson said, shrugging. He didn't really care either way.

message 183: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Do you want to play?" she asked. The deck looked like it hadn't been touched in years.

message 184: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Why not?" he asked with a smile. The girl seemed too oblivious to persecute anything.

message 185: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) ((*snickers* https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...))

She delt out cards, but didn't stop at 5, 7, or 9. She went to almost fifteen before remembering she was supposed to, then blushed furiously and re-dealt properly.

message 186: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) ((You slippery vixen, you.))

"Are you alright?" Crimson asked, wondering if this was a new level of scatterbrained.

((Do I sense shipping?))

message 187: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) ((Pulled that prank two years ago on a different site when everyone got whiny. :D))

"Uh huh," she said, picking up her cards.

((I doubt it, since she'd probably forget she's in a relationship.))

message 188: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Okay then," he said, picking up his own cards.

((True.))

message 189: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) ((But it would still be cute.))

"Do you have a queen?" she asked.

message 190: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) ((Also true.))

"Go fish," he replied.

message 191: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) ((Got to go.))

She took a card. Next turn around, she asked the same question.

message 192: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "No," he replied, pointing at the deck.

message 193: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) She sighed and drew another card. She seemed to get slightly better as the game progressed, but she would occasionally ask twice, which of course messed up her chances of winning majorly.

message 194: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) He asked twice when she did, not taking advantage of her quirk, since he was trying to be nice.

message 195: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) She bit her lip, squeezing her eyes shut, trying to remember. Then she'd change the card she asked for, which was probably one she'd already asked recently, but it was a good way to challenge her memory.

message 196: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "Yes. I do have a three," he said, when she finally asked a new one.

message 197: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) She grinned happily, reaching over and taking his three, slapping her own down over it. She still had about ten cards more than he did, but she didn't seem to care. Khia had the memory of a goldfish, maybe only slightly better.

message 198: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) Cimson laughed at her enthusiasm, glad that she was having some fun, at least.

message 199: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) "Do you know any games?" she asked, successfully having lowered her cards to an amount she could hold.

message 200: by Drax (new)

Drax RavenKnight (draxhollowknight) "We could play war, I suppose," he suggested.
