Hi,I'm Lawrence from the NY metropolitan area (okay, okay, i'm from Brooklyn and live in Jersey). I'm a little out of touch with reading horror. Some of the dystopian and post-apocalyptic novels i've read recently could be deemed horror, but as a rule i've not had any direction. I'm sure joining this group will get me back to where I need to be in terms of being creeped out.
welcome to the group Lady, Lauren and Lawrence! ooh! my absolute favorite apocalyptic novel is Swan Song I named my house Mary's Rest after an area named in this book.
Greetings and salutations friendos Lady, Lauren and Lawrence. What is this, L people sign-up week? :P
Hi there! Horror weirdo here. Nice to find such a welcoming community. I just popped My novel new writers area. Enjoying looking at what other folks are reading / writing.
welcome Ludivco. Glad your enjoying the group. I just read a book with your name in it but I can't recall which one. I think it was a vampire book.
New member to the HA group here. I've been a lifelong horror fan, since watching Creature Features at a very young age. Invasion of the Saucer Men always terrified me. And I've been reading horror since I could first read full-length books by myself. Now I'm a writer, a gamer, and general nice guy. People who don't understand the appeal of horror look at me and don't understand how I can like it. Their loss! Thanks for the welcome!
Look forward to hearing about horror reads from the readers who devour them. I've had two novels published this year: an occult horror escapade, Contract With The Lycanthrope, and a surrealist supersigil of paranormal suspense, Cosmic Egg Rapture. My occult horror tree is rooted in Carl Kolchak: The Nigh Stalker, Edgar Allan Poe, and the alternative history works of William R. Fix, among other precursors.
