Horror Aficionados discussion
Introduce Yourself!
Hey all. Another horror freak here. I love scary, gothic, dark, and haunting. Huge Stephen King fan. I work in film as an entertainment attorney for my “day job,” and write screenplays and novels in my down time (usually combining it with football and beer). I saw the group on a couple friends’ pages, and had to join =)
Fallon here. Big fan of horror and dark fantasy. Also a published author of urban fantasy. German Expressionism is my goldmine of inspiration, ala. Nosferatu and Caligari. Here to learn new things, read new books, and pick people's brains for new ideas. Feel free to visit my author page for more about my work. Otherwise, I'm here to talk some King and Lovecraft.
Hello everybody!! My name is Casey, and I've always been captivated by all things horror. I've joined this group to get some great recommendations! I am on a never-ending hunt to finding a horror novel that keeps me up at night, I'm pretty tough to crack so I'm very excited to be here.

My eyes get tired, too, so sometimes I cheat. I use text to speech option on my Mac. It plays MS Word well (adjust speed and voice to suit you), PDFs that aren't ironclad protected, and even some ePub and Kindle books DRM protected but without additional protections.
I'm experimenting with the tech to see if people can hack listening to a robo voice that I've tweeked to make more human. I'd be happy to send you an MP3 file of the the first chapter or two of my horror/humour novel Late Bite that I did in that manner. If you find it to your liking, I'll send the full sound file. Love to get your feedback on acceptability of the voice and, of course, my writing.

Howdy. Trying to recapture my love of reading and move away from so much electronic stimulation. I have been a fan of all things horror since John Carpenter's original Halloween came on HBO decades ago... I was 11, folks were not home, I was wonderfully terrified! I especially love anything related to Halloween, traditional or otherwise.I just finished A Winter Haunting by Dan Simmons and prior to that I recently read Something Wicked This Way Comes, outstanding book, Monster Book of Monsters, and Haunted Nights, a collection of Halloween stories.
Most of my reading past has been Fantasy/SciFi, and "other" types of books. I am, however, really enjoying the darker stories so far. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Salutations fellow Phobophilias! My name is Hannah and I am a horror fanatic! I love watching horror movies, reading horror, and work at the seasonal haunted attraction Terror in the Corn in Erie, CO (voted #2 for best haunted house in the state last year!). I hope you all have a wonderfully spooky afternoon!

Greetings, fellow gore-hounds. I'm Wesley, and I've been a fan of the horror genre for most of my life. Out of all the forms of horror related media, books are the one that I've had the least amount of experience with, though lately I've been getting/gotten recommendations from my friends within the horror community for books that I should check out. I wanted to join this group, in the hopes that I can continue to receive even more recommendations.
