Greetings and salutations to you as well @Alan.
Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome.
Hello new here. I’m also new to reading well I mean reading for pleasure. I love horror! I watch all types of horror movies. I’m a child of the 80’s so I love my slashers. My recent reads are Buffalo Hunter Hunter and clown in a cornfield, The 24 novel X and currently reading a fear street book with my wife old school lol. I look forward to hearing suggestions and talking horror.
Hello, my name is Del Suede & I write fiction with a heavy lean toward horror. I've been writing for years now & am finally unleashing my stories into the wild. I'm trying to connect with other, like-minded authors or anyone who loves horror!!
Hello and welcome to HA, everyone! This is the best horror book group on Goodreads and we're glad to have you here!
Welcome, my new friends! Please grab a virtual iced coffee and a toasted buttered croissant to the left :-)
Hi Everyone. My name is Jeff Jones. I retired a few years ago and started and published my first Horror/Suspense/Thriller novel from about August 2024 to March 2025. I think writing it may be the funnest thing I've done since I retired. Anyway, I just joined this group a couple days ago and thanks for having me.
Hello!! I'm new to GoodReads, but not new to horror! I'm a big fan of all horror media from movies to TV to gaming, but I wanted to get back into horror literature. Happy to have found this group of likeminded spooky lovers :)
Hello everyoneMy name is Courtney and I love reading horror above any other genre. I also read monster romance as well as some very little sci-fi.
Here for some spooky book vibes!
Hello! I’m a huge horror fan, and I’m here for recommendations. Also, discussing books with like-minded people seems like a lot of fun!
Hello. I would like to introduce myself better this time.I am Lazar Kingsley.
I love reading psychological horror novels that play with your nerves and make you question whether everything is real or just a product of the character's imagination.
I don't really care if the ending is happy or sad; what matters to me is the events and emotions throughout the story.
Welcome to all the new members! Please be sure to grab a virtual iced caramel macchiato to the left and/or some blueberry scones :-)I can't wait to talk horror with all of you!
Hi, everyone! Discovered I loved horror from a very early age (too early?) and I love nothing more than a good scare from my books and movies.I'll read other genres too, but I've always got a horror story going at the same time.
Looking forward to some great discussions and recommendations.
Hi fellow trauma-chasers! I’m a horror enthusiast, professionally addicted to stories that make me question the floorboards, the mirrors, and the structural integrity of my sanity. I read dark fiction like it’s soul therapy—if the book doesn’t make me feel mildly possessed or mildly judged by an eldritch entity, did I even read?I review obsessively (currently ranked in Canadian Goodreads reviewers, which is wild since my cat usually critiques my work with side-eyes). Let’s be friends! I’m here for the dread, the atmosphere, and the weirdly poetic dismemberment. Recommend me something that haunts you—I’ll owe you my sleep.
hi everyone!this is my first group im going to attempt to be active in lol, im into pretty much anything and everything horror. im always looking for new books to further explore the genre, ill read just bout anything

@retrovvitches: Welcome! LoL very cool, and well, you came to a fantastic group. Enjoy, and here's to nonstop 5-Star reads :-)
Hello! My name is Sophie, and I have never been active in a group before so this will be fun :-) I love pretty much all genres, but I especially love horror (obviously). I live and breathe horror books, movies, video games, and experiences! Some fun facts are that I am currently in library school and I have two cats, one named Frankenstein and one named Laszlo- after the vampire in What We Do in the Shadows tv show. Looking forward to reading posts in here!

Hi Sophie, welcome!! Gosh I love the kitty names, and Laszlo is my favorite character in WWDitS, but the Baron must be my 2nd fave, the night out episode will live rent free in my head forever haha.

Hi my name is Ian O Grady. I've writing horror for a few years and just had my first book Published. The Book is Called Skinless.
Hi there, I'm Emily, and I think the Horror Genre may just be the one that captures the human condition best. What a petrie dish for examining what really matters to us, for understanding what is base and what is sublime and the true nature of how fleeting it all is. I'm a longtime horror fan with I suppose a bent towards what people are calling 'elevated' horror - practically lived in the vampire section of the library as a child. I've acted in a well known horror feature film (and worked in the art department and assisted the director, WHAT a summer!) and even though I didn't set out to do so, my first two published books have been deemed horror/horror adjacent. I thought I was doing something else but the market/readers tells us what we are, I guess, lol
Looking forward to meeting likeminded readers/writers/horrific types here. :)
