Hi everyone,I'm Hunter, a writer with a passion for horror, sci-fi, and indie stories. I've been spinning tales since I was a kid and love exploring new dimensions within these genres. I'm here not just to soak in great discussions but also to find inspiration as I gear up for the release of my upcoming short story collection. Excited to connect, share insights, and learn from all of you!
Cheers, Hunter
Hi everyone, I’m Jo! I’ve recently started reading regularly again, and I’ve already seen some fantastic recommendations on here, but always looking for more. Recent favorites were Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer and the Fisherman by John Langan. Gimme some of that cosmic horror :b Feel free to add me!
Hello Horror Aficionados,I'm a member of The Butchered Writers, a group of authors from around the world that are joined by the love of horror. We're always looking to find new books and learn about what everyone else is reading. Thanks for having me/us!

Hi,I'm Ben. I enjoy reading, and will read about anything for books. My favorite genres are horror, science-fiction, dystopian, and fantasy. I also read manga and graphic novels. For non-fiction, I enjoy reading books on history, specifically ancient and pre-Colombian history, psychology, sociology, and philosophy books.
Outside of reading, I enjoy hiking, running, fishing, and watching movies. One interesting thing about me is I breed worms for fishing.
I look forward to contributing to this group.

Hi guys, I’m Kayla and I’ve been a huge horror fan for my whole life. I love horror movies and books and it’s the main genre I consume. I am looking forward to finding some really great recs on here :) Thanks for having me!
Hello my name is Angela I’m new to good reads I have recently started back reading more to help with stress and just to relax. I’m a big horror fan I love a good scare lol. I look forward to meeting new people and eventually make some friend😀
Hi, I’m Gerard, and I am new to this platform. I enjoy reading mostly mystery, sci-fi, and fantasy stories. If it is a story good or strange enough to be in the old Twilight Zone show, it’s good enough for me.
Hi! I've had a GoodReads profile for ages, but I've only just started posting. Haha, only a thousand reviews or so to go before I catch up on what I've actually read. I love all kinds of horror, maybe especially genre blends!
Hello everyone! I was talking to a friend of mine who also likes reading and they mentioned this site to me. I thought that I would check it out. Recently, I really, and I mean really, got back into reading, and I was wanting to find new books to look into, as well meet new people who are in love with books as much as I am. Since this is a group that likes horror, one book that I recently got that I cannot wait to start is The Terror by Dan Simmons.

Greetings, all! Couldn't recall if I introduced myself - so I wanted to say hi and hope you're all staying spooky! 💀 really getting into my 2025 goal, currently reading The Buffalo Hunter Hunter and it's going GREAT!
Hello everyone! I'm Meysam, a screenwriter. You might believe it or not, but I’m the most scared fan of the horror genre! I’ve never watched a horror movie alone, even if I've seen it multiple times. The truth is, even when I write a horror screenplay or story, I get just as scared!Although I prefer writing horror screenplays, recently I decided to try something different and published a book. It’s a collection of nine short horror stories available on Amazon. Honestly, I have no idea how appealing it will be to professional readers, but for me, it’s been a new and exciting experience.
Welcome to all the new members! Please grab a virtual iced latte and some chocolate chunk cookies to the left :-)
Hey all! My name's bella and i'm from TN! This is my first goodreads group and im excited to finally be able to talk to other freaks like myself haha! My favorite authors right now are probably Poppy Z Brite and Nick Cutter.
Hello everyone !Im Mary from Northern Ireland and would like more friends on here. I‘m active daily on here. I like to read most genres of books 💟📚 feel free to add me.
Greetings from the shadowed halls of Victorian dread,I’m C.N. Harrow — author, reader, and lifelong seeker of unsettling stories that whisper to you long after midnight. I dwell in the realms of gothic horror, psychological unease, and atmospheric fiction.
I am here, foremost, as a fellow lover of the genre, eager to discover dark gems I’ve yet to read.
When I’m not writing about haunted manors and cursed souls, you’ll find me buried in the works of M.R. James, Shirley Jackson, or any tale that turns the mundane into the macabre.
I look forward to sharing recommendations, discussions, and that delightful sense of unease we all secretly enjoy.
Feel free to say hello — and if you’ve read anything recently that chilled you to the bone, let me know. My cursed bookshelf is always hungry.
Stay dreadful,
C.N. Harrow
Hello! My name is Dafne. I'm from the U.S. and a current uni student. I love reading, especially spooky books. I find it so fascinating how words, like images, are able to captivate and disturb the mind all the same. This is the first group I join so I'm very exciteddddd. I'm currently reading Deja Dead by Kathy Reichs, not really horror, more crime, but interesting nonetheless.
It's good to meet you all :)
Daf, Pleasure to meet you! Welcome to the group! :)
Greetings fellow readers! I look forward to hearing more from you and about the great horror novels that have kept you awake shivering in your sheets!
Welcome to all the new members! I look forward to discussing horror with you, and since the weekend is here, please grab a virtual iced coffee to the left and some blueberry muffins :-D
Hi everyone, I'm Tammie. I'm thrilled to be part of this group of horror enthusiasts! While I am not new to Goodreads, I haven’t been very active until now. I enjoy reading multiple genres of books, including mystery, thriller, horror and (some) fantasy. Police procedurals, suspense novels and psychological thrillers currently rank high on my list. When I'm not reading, you might find me in any body of water (beach/river) or immersed in music.
Most of my recent scares have come from horror movies and TV series, but I’ve been craving the spine-tingling chills that only a good book can provide. Some of my favourite shows and films include 30 Coins, From, Evil, Hereditary, and The Conjuring, and I have decided it is time to remedy my lack of recent horror reads. I am excited to explore recommendations, revisit some classics, and discover new authors who will keep me up at night.
I look forward to the discussions as I dive back into the haunting world of horror literature.
