Hello! I go by orc(: I have just gotten a BOOX and plan on reading more often now! I love horror games and movies and am obsessed with creepypastas and r/nosleep on Reddit, so I am trying to get more horror suggestions! Don’t tell my bf I’m here since I’m grounded from scary stuff for the time being for getting too scared that he had to walk me to the bathroom and back to bed at 3 am and then I got no sleep at all that night 🤭

Hi, I'm a horror author and lifelong horror fan. Just looking to talk horror once in awhile. My top favorites are King, Peter Straub, Daphne DuMaurier, and Ray Bradbury.
Welcome to all the new members! Please grab a virtual iced caramel macchiato to the left for all the fun horror convos that await. I'm excited :-D
Hi everyone! My name's Jonnie and I'm from Aberdeen, Scotland. I only recently joining Goodreads and have spent some time updating and uploading all the mini reviews I have written for myself over the years - the benefits of keeping a 'diary' of what books I was reading and my thoughts on them!I then discovered this group and wanted to say hi. I've been a horror fan since borrowing my mum's M.R. James and Edgar Allan Poe collections at far too young an age, before moving on to the likes of Stephen King. I'm much more into classic supernatural stories than modern gore-fests, but I'm keen to widen my horizons with new suggestions for adding to the list. Feel free to have a look at my reviews if they're of any interest and add me, if you've any good suggestions!
Hi, I'm Andrew from Toronto, Canada. I enjoy books, mostly of the horror, fantasy, cosy mystery and thriller genres. Favourite horror authors include: Edgar Allan Poe, HP Lovecraft, Brian Lumley, Karl Edward Wagner, Bentley Little, Richard Laymon, Stephen King, Brian Keene, Ramsey Campbell, Ronald Malfi, Chuck Wendig, Scott Nicholson and Robert McCammon. Those are the ones I can think of off-hand!
Hi, everyone! I'm JR, and I'm from Texas. I enjoy all things horror -- not just books! I love just about anything that comes with a good recommendation. I'm a huge Stephen King fan, and have a collection of his novels, including some of the Richard Bachman ones. My prized book is a signed copy of the "The Exorcist." My most recent horror read was "Tender is the Flesh" and "Nestlings." I'm a bit all over the place! I look forward to seeing and engaging in some discussion!
Hello to all! New to goodreads and this group. I'm looking forward to reading the monthly book choices here :)

I'm not welcoming you in an official capacity, simply as a fellow newbie to Goodreads. I see you have diverse reading tastes as well, we have some overlap there. My own reading patterns have changed over the years and it's probably 50/50 fiction and non-fiction now.

Hello all! My name is Brianna, and I am a huge fan of the horror genre. While I already have a lot of books on my TBR, I wouldn't mind adding more! Can't wait to see what new recommendations I'll find here :)
Hi! I'm mostly just looking for recs, but if there are any writers with tips on how to construct a good horror story, I'd appreciate the advice.
Hello my fellow horror fans, I'm Aisha and I'm so excited to be a part of a horror book club. I love all things horror from books to movies. I haven't had the chance to read lots of horror books and would love any and all book recs!! So excited to start reading with you guys!!
Hi!! I’m new to this. I got a message to vote for the Feb books but I cannot find where to actually do that. Can anyone help?
My name is Colvet, and I am a poet/scientist/artist/author from Cleveland, OH. I make analog art (printmaking) with my partner Evan McGory under the name Last Pages of Humanity (LPOH). We sell unique bookish art prints/apparel and books we have written/printed - mostly horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. We also host a monthly online horror reading club, which is free! DM me if interested in joining. The first session is Sunday, Feb 23rd, online, and we are reading "The Eyes are the Best Part" by Monika Kim.
Hi, everyone! I'm Belle, and I'm an avid reader / honest reviewer here on Goodreads who is always looking for something new... well, to read and review. My favorite genres are horror ( this is my bread and butter, truly ), science-fiction, mystery/thriller ( the more psychologically disruptive, the better! ), and fantasy - and all that falls in between, depending on what strikes my interest. I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to trying anything. I also am an aspiring author - I've been working on my own novels on the side, though have yet to publish anything. I also have a blog I'm trying to work on, but it's heavily under construction. Baby steps, as I tell myself... baby steps.
I'm hoping to get some great recommendations on some truly awesome horror titles, because they're my favorite thing since sliced bread. I'll totally read and vote on reviews and support my fellow readers/authors as much as I can, too! I'm pretty easy going, so don't hesitate to reach out and/or give a follow - I don't bite. Honestly, I'm really excited just to connect with you all and look forward to future discussions. :)
hi guys!! i'm vi, a new goodreads user ^^ I'm super into horror (psychological and mystery) and joined because I'm looking for horror recommendations. So if anyone has any please share!! Feel free to add me aswell !
Hello! My name is K Ree, and I've been a horror fan since I was very young. My Momma and Nanny are both big horror fans, and they passed that love of horror down to me.
The first book I ever read was a Goosebumps book called The Curse of Camp Cold Lake, and I've been hooked on thrillers, mysteries, and especially horror ever since.
If you'd like to know a little more about me, please add me, I'd love to make some new friends, and I'd love to see what books you all recommend.
My Goodreads notifications seems to have gone down a wormhole these past few months so I'm finding it hard to keep up but...welcome to all new members! This is my favourite group on Goodreads, always so much fun and such a welcoming and inclusive crew. Any and all new members, please feel free to Friend me and watch me procrastinate around my teetering TBR pile!!
Hey everyone. I'm Scott. Not new to the group, but new to actually interacting with the group. Since last year I have upped my reading game and it has become my primary source of relaxation. I grew up loving horror, and into my adult life that continues. I'm a 40 year old husband/father living in Colorado with 2 dogs and a huge backlog of books to finish. Favorite recent books - Between Two Fires, The Fisherman, and Incidents Around The House.
I'm currently reading The Fold by Peter Clines and up next is going to be Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates for the monthly book club.
Looking forward to reading with everyone! Feel free to add me on here. I'm always looking for recommendations and I will absolutely stalk your read and reviewed books to get ideas!
