Hi to all new arrivals, hope you have fun on this great group. I don't always check in this thread enough to add my welcome to those offered by our marvellous mods but anyone joining this group should feel free to Friend me so that I can soul-suck your current reading lists for my own!!!

Greetings Horror Aficionados! I'm an author who just got on the goodreads platform. I stumbled on this group poking around. I look forward to discussing everything horror. I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween!
Welcome to all the new members! Please grab a virtual iced latte to the left and some blueberry scores as well! I can't wait to discuss horror with you all :-)
Hey all! My name is Travis. I have been a horror lit and movie fan for a long time. I have read every Stephen King novel and am currently about to begin reading the rest of the Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches by Anne Rice. I also have read many Dean Koontz. My new (to me) horror find is John Lindqvist; I am currently reading LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, which is absolutely amazing!
I love any good horror with a good plot. My absolute favorite subject matters, however, are anything to do with vampires or the occult.
hello!! I‘m Woody (they/them) and I‘m here because I want to read more horror! Currently I‘m reading The Haunting of Hill House (actually part of a uni class about hauntings in literature) and I‘m having lots or fun so far. My tbr has lots of books on it and recently more and more horror books found their place…
Hi all! I am Charlotte. I love all things horror! I average about 1 book per week. I have made sure to diversify my read genres this year, but I still make sure to include a horror every few weeks. Favorite horrors I've read in 2024: Tender is The Flesh, The Fisherman, Whalefall. Looking forward to getting more book recommendations from this group.
Hi, I'm Jon. I like to read horror, and I look forward to discovering some good books through this group. Thanks!
Hey guys! I am Travis. I am an avid horror book and movie fan. I have read all of Stephen King's novels; I also love Rice and Koontz. The intent is to learn more great tomes and horror authors, be among cool and like minded folks. My absolute favorite subjects are vampires and the occult. I love many others, however.
This may come off as an unpopular opinion or request or something, but I hope it does not.I have been in a few other book clubs that seem like that they read a mix of stuff. The only thing that really got me is that said groups only seem to ever read books that are brand new, only available as physical books in hardcover...which is not cheap. I have no problem budgeting for books, but almost 30 bucks for each book is not feasible...and we are not poor!
I like that this group reads a mix of new stuff with stuff already in paperback.

Thank you--we really try to get in a good mix of horror, available in all formats, instead of only "trending" novels. Libraries are also an excellent place to look. :)

When we do group reads we always try to make sure the choices are available in multiple formats (physical, ebook) and hopefully at libraries as well as retailers. I know I don't have money for expensive books these days. Sometimes recent releases win the voting, but our members certainly give us older and classic options as well.

Hello all,I'm an avid reader of horror and have written and published a number of horror stories over the last few years. I love the works of King, Barker, Poe, Lovecraft, and others...I look forward to potentially discovering other new horror writers.
My name is a combination of actors Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing and have published over 70 books of various genres
Hi, I'm Ness. I love reading with a favorite horror movie in the background. I am more familiar with movies/shows than I am with horror books, but I look forward to adding to my lists :)
Hi everyone! My name is Asia. I’m excited to be here and connect with fellow horror fans. I love everything dark and disturbing (if there’s a deranged female protagonist, even better lol). I’m looking forward to making friends, sharing recommendations, and discovering new reads.
