Hi everyone, I enjoy a little bit of everything, however enjoy the horror side more. I am working my way through Stephen King books and his son Joe Hill has a few good novels to read. Not that the author books above books scare me but I do like a page turners. If you can suggest anything that would be great.
Welcome, everyone! We have some virtual iced lattes for all of you and I can't wait to discuss horror with you all :-)
Hi, I'm Kristin. I'm a horror/thriller writer, not yet published. I'm a voracious reader, and I enjoy du Maurier and Algernon Blackwood as much as I enjoy SGJ and Gabino Iglesias.
Hi, I go by UB. I love horror. Ever since my earliest childhood memory of watching Hellraiser. My favorite genre of books is mostly zombie PA horror. I joined here because I would like to find some good recs in different genres of horror.
Hi all!I’m Elena, I’ve been a big horror fan for most of my life (despite being a scaredy cat as a kid, I always had a morbid fascination for the macabre). I got into horror through Stephen King and my goal is to read all his books. I love all things spooky👻
Hi everybody, my name is Nick! I’ve just joined Goodreads and was perusing around when I discovered this group. I’ve always been a big horror movie fan, but never a big horror book fan other than Goosebumps as a kid. Recently I’ve started to try to get into more horror novels (especially since it’s spooky season). I can’t wait to connect with more people and get more recommendations!
hey my name is Jasika, im new to goodreads. I lovee horror movies - it’s my favourite genre. I’ve just got into reading and would love some new book/movie recommendations. feel free to add me 🫶🏼
Hi! I’m Delaney. I’ve always been into horror movies but just recently got into reading horror and extreme horror. It’s been a great change of pace for me. I’m totally down to chat about books. My irl friends think I’m crazy so I have no one to share my reads with :’)
Hello! My name is Elizabeth. I've always enjoyed horror as a genre in most mediums, but the last few years I've been trying to get more into horror novels since I hadn't done a lot since I was a kid. I've done a lot more in the last few years and it makes we want to read more and discuss more and such, so here I am.
Hi all! I'm a nonfiction author and horror / science fiction fan. I'm new to GoodReads and looking for new friends to get some new recommendations from. Nice to meet you all.
Hello! I am Michelle from Norway. Just finally back to reading again. I mostly read horror books which is why I joined this group in hopes to meet likeminded people!I used to read a lot of horror books for teens and kids in my childhood. I loved goosebumps and "marg og bein" a norwegian horror series with different authors.
Nice to be meeting you all!
Hello, my name is Kolby and I am from Nova Scotia Canada. I love everything to do with horror, my recent favorite book is All Hallows by Christopher Golden.
Hi - I’m Gary and I dabble in a variety of genres - mostly sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and historical fiction. Each Oct (plus/minus a few weeks) I do exclusively horror stories. I consider my book reviews as more of a reflection of how the book impacted me - than what I consider a “proper review” (i.e. actual literary criticism). I try to average a book per week - and have kept that up since my kids departed for college (much more free time 😜) up from 1-2 books per year before then. I don’t take GR too seriously and joke around a lot - and get lots of great ideas from the site. I tend to grade books easier than many of my peers. I see reading as a wonderful way to expand my world and challenge my imagination. I wouldn’t have it any other way 📖.Also - I love to talk books with any who are willing to listen 😀
