Greetings All!I'm Richard from Ontario, Canada. I've always been and avid fan of the horror genre. My fav sub-genre would be zombies just because they look gross and always freaked me out as a kid. The apocalyptic nature also always weirded me out (thinking that everything you always knew is now gone and will never be again - how do you reconcile that in your mind?). My least fav would probably be vampires since they seem to well-groomed and less disgusting. Perhaps I'm a fan of gore, then? Body horror (to some degree - don't really appreciate excessive gore either). Sometimes I'm in the mood for less intense horror, other times more intense but really need to be in the mood for it.
I'm also a Goodreads author and have released in the horror / zombie genres. I've gathered inspiration for my books from a variety of sources like TV shows (hello, Walking Dead), movies (George Romero is brilliant), and, of course, other brilliant authors like Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Paul Trembley, T Kingfisher. It's always fascinating to discover a new author and explore their unique writing styles.
Hello! I just joined the HA group. Wanted to drop by and say "hi"I love classic horror books/movies - King, Lovecraft, A.Rice, C.Barker, Evil Dead, The Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc.

Welcome Caitlin
Hi! I’m new to Goodreads because I’m picking up reading again after a long time. I absolutely love horror movies and I’m getting into horror books now as well. I’d love recommendations if anybody has them. My favorite themes are: haunted houses, creatures, witches, ghosts, demons/possession, and much more. I’m happy to be a part of this group and looking forward to getting to know everybody!

Welcome to all the new members! Don't forget to grab a virtual iced latte and some buttered croissants as we head into the new week :-)
Hello, i recently joined this group. I just got into horror movies and books a few weeks ago, but because i have vacation right now, i watched a lot of horror movies (esp slasher) My favorite slasher movie is i know what you did last summer. I still need to watch some classics like nightmare on elm street and the whole Halloween series (only watched part one) The book that got me into this all is my heart is a chainsaw. I like to read dark academia, books set in south asia and horror. I hope i will make friends who have the same interest as me!!
