Horror Aficionados discussion
Introduce Yourself!
@J: Oh that's so awesome! I'll definitely check both bands out after work, thank you for the insight \m/
J wrote: "@TheresaW I play bass guitar in a metal band too. What’s the name of his bands ? Would love to get out and play Ohio someday. Looking forward to see you too !"Ha, that's a tough question to answer. He gets a little antsy and hops from band to band. He tends to fill in when they need a guitarist in a pinch. That's what makes him happiest! :) But yeah, if you were to make it to Ohio to play it would be fun to get to see you. We love going to live shows!

Hi Ken and welcome! You've got me curious - and maybe I'm showing my lack of knowledge here, but what's an example of Philosophical Horror? It sounds amazing (being someone who took way more philosophy courses in college than I really needed to!). 😊

Welcome, Ken! I like some weird fiction as well. :)
Hi everyone! I am Eden and I've just recently jumped back into reading on the regular. I dropped reading books for a few years and I am so happy I've gotten back into it.Horror is my all-time favourite book genre, so I am happy to be part of this group to discuss interesting fiction as well as be exposed to new books that might be up my alley. :) I look forward to discussing novels and getting to know you all.
Hi Eden and welcome!! You've joined a great group of like minded horror lovers here. :) And you'll be introduced to so many new authors and books. I look forward to seeing you around the pages of the group and Goodreads!
Hey there! I'm Melany. I haven't read in years due to life being so busy but I've decided to carve out time everyday to read more often. I'm hoping I can read a book a week this year. I usually read YA books but I'm a huge fan of horror movies so I thought I'd try reading some horror stories, too.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I haven't looked up any books yet. I have the whole stephen king collection on my ipad but I've only read a couple of stories. I don't know how to find the good books yet. I've been off of goodreads for a while and it seems a lot has changed since I was last on it so I'm still getting used to how this site works. I've recently discovered YOU on Netflix originated as a book so I may start there. :)

@Melany: Welcome as well, my friend! I'm glad to hear that as yeah, that's what I do. Every 2 hours I work I take a 10-15 minute reading break, then read an hour after work, and then a few hours before going to sleep!
@Kate: Greetings and welcome! That's so awesome you got back into reading as not only does horror rule but this group is an amazing one. Looking forward to future discussions with you :-)

@Eden: All is well here and hope the same for you! I'm so glad you're here too, this group is an amazing one. Don't forget to grab a virtual iced coffee and blueberry scone to the left, they're great for late-night reading right before a day off :-)
Hey, I'm Eric. I am an avid reader. Had a long commute to work a couple of years ago and really got into audiobooks. Gave me the opportunity to use my time on the road doing one of my favorite activities. I have been a horror fan since Friday the 13th came out, well technically the 2nd one, but have loved reading and watching horror, especially zombie related material. Anyway, look forward to interacting with a group of like minded individuals. thanks for having me.

@Eric: Welcome as that's pretty cool, also an avid reader! I've noticed a lot of people use audiobooks when traveling for that reason which definitely makes it easier to enjoy more books, you know?I'm also excited for future conversations with you, zombie-related horror books rock!
Hello, I'm Franziska :)I read mostly fantasy and some SF, but over the last year I've gotten more and more into horror, my most recent read being Leech by Hiron Ennes.
Currently I'm trying to find out which horror sub-genres I like. I love to discuss the books I read and hope to get some good recommendations.
