Hi, I'm Victoria. I'm a long time Horror fan and I rekindled my love for reading this past year. I look forward to participating in this group especially in the monthly Group Reads. I also look forward to getting to know some of you along the way. Feel free to send me a friend request :)

How did it take me this long to join?! haha
@Bee: BOOM! LoL enjoy those as you know, with it being a Monday and all, have to get the new week off right. LoL it happens, sometimes it takes longer to find the treasures we're looking for in life, and look at you now... you found one in this amazing group :-D
My name is Kim, and I'm a youth librarian who has been in love with horror since age 12. If you have kiddos who want recommendations for (age appropriate) scary books, hit me up!
@Kim: Welcome and much respect, librarians always have and always will be awesome in my book! You came to the right place as this group rocks and that's great to know you're the go-to person for horror recommendations for the little ones :-D
Hi folks! I love horror, especially allegorical or gothic stories. My top ten (not in order) are Haunting of Hill House, Mexican Gothic, The Only Good Indian, While No One is Watching, Bunny, Nightbitch, This Book is Full of Spiders, House of Leaves, Gideon the Ninth, and The Book of Accidents. I welcome any recommendations!
Hello, everyone! I'm really excited to be here. I've been reading horror all my life and I've always felt that it was painfully underappreciated, so I'm thrilled to join a community of fellow horror readers. I like my horror dark and strange, and I've really been enjoying splatterpunk authors this year. I'm also a huge sci-fi fan, so I am always looking for new recommendations in the "space horror" genre. Looking forward to interacting with the group!
Hi Ashley,I looked at what you've rated highly and I would recommend The Last Final Girl! Let me know if you have any recs for me!
Erica Ellis wrote: "Have you read the Locked Tomb series? Weird gory funny gothic sci-fi horror at its best!"Oops, correction to my last comment. I didn't realize that was the series that Gideon the Ninth is from! I've had that on my list to read for ages. Thank you for the reminder! :D
@Bridget: Welcome as you came to an awesome place where all of us horror enthusiasts can enjoy loving this amazing genre!
I just added you Karina and Ashley since you posted you would welcome friends!I wrote a very long post earlier this morning to into myself a bit and fave authors, books, but, GR screwed it up and wouldn't post it. So, briefly, I am glad to be here and to have found this group. I love to do group and buddy reads. Looking forward to reading with you all in 2023!

Hey, everyone. I'm a big fan of horror and am also a horror author, so I joined this group hoping to connect with horror-minded folks like me. Hopefully I'll spy some great horror recommendations in the other threads and get to know some of you.I'm from Maine, so I've long lived in the King's shadow - and Maine holds a special dark energy you can feel in your bones. I've also lived in New Hampshire (only scary because of the property taxes), recently in Mobile, Alabama during the three years of the pandemic (long story), and now I'm living in Woodford, Vermont inside the infamous Bennington Triangle.
