Hi just found the group as I am friends with one of the members. I have recently gotten back to reading horror and revisiting some of my favourite authors like Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Peter Straub and Michael McDowell.lag in message showing up, so I deleted the first one, LOL have to love technology.

@Sophie. If you like short stories - ghosts and vampires - a book that I just read is Voices from the vaults - edited by Devendra P. Varma. Different authors, interesting twists. Nice surprise was one by Bram Stoker - just as good as Dracula, but shorter.

Hi @Alan. Thank you. Looking forward to some great discussions and finding some new authors. My reading varies between non fiction and fiction. Every once in awhile just nice to sit back and enjoy some thrills and chills - book style.
That’s really interesting to know you like non fiction as well I read a lot of true crime and true ghost stories which I find fascinating, I connect with spirits myself and help police solve their cases

@Badseedgirl and @ Nora thank you for the welcome. Look forward to some great discussions about books and making some new friends.Excited as I just finished John Saul's, House of Reckoning. I haven't read his work in a few years and had planned to wait until the new year to return to fiction, but, lol, so many great suggestions I ended up going back early. Starting Thinner by Stephen King (Bachman book) tomorrow. I have seen the movie of this one, but never read the books.
