Hi Everyone! I've always been into horror books but didn't ever go deeper than the occasional Stephen King or Dean Koontz. Last year I stumbled on the r/horrorlit subreddit and realized how much I was missing out! I haven't read many of the "classics" but I am catching up as quickly as I possibly can.

@Nicole: Welcome and awesome! LoL I'm also in that subreddit and love it as well! The classics are always good but as always, so many books, so little time :-)
Greetings and salutations friendo Nicole.

Hello! My name is Paige and I really love to read everything but horror/thriller is my favorite. I've been on a horror novel binge this year and thought a group like this is great for more recommendations and discussions!
Hey. My names Stephen. I'm trying to get into the habit of reading again so have set myself the challenge of reading a book a week. Imagine most of them will be in the horror genre as that's what I love and write myself.
My names Joey from the SF Bay Area, working on my 1st book sort of a Gothic horror. I have a ton of other ideas on the back burner, a noir thriller, a collection of short stories, a twisted take on fairy tales among other things. I love to read horror, fantasy, scifi, noir and good books. I love horror movies as well with a strong emphasis on 80s/90s. All around lover of music.

@Stephen: Welcome and awesome! Yeah, that's a great goal to have as reading a novel a week is pretty amazing. You got this :-)@Joey: Welcome and very cool as you'll fit right in with us, enjoy :-)
Paige: Welcome and so awesome to hear, this is the best place for everything and anything horror! Looking forward to future discussions with you on this genre we love so much :-)
Hi all, I'm Holli! I've always struggled with horror books and films cause they give me nightmares, but I keep finding myself incorporating those elements in my own writing. Joining this group to overcome that mental block and get recommendations for the best of the best in the genre. <3
Hello, everyone. My name is Joseph, and I am a devout fan of the genre.Like most readers of my generation, I was entranced by Goosebumps in elementary school. I also fell in love with scary cinema at a young age, an obsession that has persisted to present day. I read my first Stephen King novel in middle school and that cemented my love of dark fiction.
Some of my favorite horror writers are Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker, Stephen King, Richard Laymon, Bentley Little, Poppy Z. Brite, Iain Reid, Joe Hill, Mark Allan Gunnells, and Carlton Mellick III.
Looking forward to the interaction!
@Joseph: Welcome as that's pretty awesome! I also grew up with Goosebumps, so many priceless memories from those legendary paperbacks! Great list of authors as needless to say, Stephen King is my all-time favorite author as one of my goals in life is to say I've read every single thing he's written.Slowly but surely, I'm getting there :-)
Hello, I'm Txetxu. I hadn't read horror books for years (readers block or interested in other genres) but lately i've read The Haunting of Hill House and Mexican Gothic wich i loved and enjoyed both books soooooooo much that i became thrilled again with horror books.I hadn't read much horror, some Lovecraft, Clive Barker and SK but i'm basically a noob i guess.
I like horror movies too, better in partnership, not alone.
I hope to find some good recomendations here, get scared a lot and i wish sweet nightmares to everyone!
