Horror Aficionados discussion
Introduce Yourself!
Hello! I'm wondering my way over here. Long time horror lover, hard core book worm, horror author. Some fav horror authors: Graham Masterton (of course), Ed Lee (it's been ages though), Bentley Little (my current obsession), and Vince Churchill. Creature features are my favorite.
Other things to know about me? Crazy cat lady and proud of it. I'm also addicted to coffee and have a weird affinity for buying way more throw blankets than my husband and I need (as he reminds me, constantly.)
Can't wait to start participating in the reading with you all!
hi everyone, huge horror afficianado here. calling in from the sierra nevada mountain range in California. When you hear a bump in the night out here it's usually something prowling in the dark and often.I have been a long time lurker on goodreads but am now seeing it as a useful tool to actually get my to read list under control. I have somewhere around 3,000 books I need to catch up on.
Just finished Max Brooks new novel Devolution. Was a good premise but a drudge of an ending.
Hello there. My name is Scott. I am from Manchester in the UK. I love ready history, politics and especially HORROR! I follow quite a few book collectors on Youtube and try to read everything that is good and great. I love early Stephen King ( his newer stuff is the same book over and over again (Insomnia)), Clive Barker, Ray Bradbury, William Hope Hodgson, Christopher Fowler, Robert W Chambers, Joe R Lansdale, M R James, Graham Masterton, Dean Koontz, H P Lovecraft. I am not a big fan of gore and so think I will leave writers like Jack Ketchum and Richard Laymon by the wayside. I am learning how to write a little myself but its slow going for now. I am happy to make friends with horror fans here and to take on any recommendations. Have a nice day!
Hi Hailey! Welcome to HA! Also? Welcome home. :)Alabama is the home of one of my top five authors-Robert McCammon.
I can't believe that I forgot to mention Stephen King as one of my fav horror authors . . . the coffee was obviously not doing its job when I wrote my intro.
Hi Hailey, welcome to the group :)

Hi all!
My name is Phil. I am writing a book series, Splattering Yet Endearing. I also run a blog where I post about my story and about advice for other authors.
I am glad to meet and chat with other authors, and readers!
"Widowing is a fatal disease, targeting and killing one person in every impacted couple. No treatments exist, or a solution, or survivors. Some think if Widowing targets one gender…intentionally.
Porma needs to move in with someone. Iteni, his high school crush, allows him to move in with her. He’s stoked to get to be with her. So what if no one know how to spot Widowing? Porma can possibly get with Iteni! He has multiple odd jobs to do too, as he seeks romance and adventure at his new Maine home.
Iteni’s been biting herself though. In the bathroom, leaving teeth marks on her skin. She wants to talk about her hand marks, and get help."
