Hello everyone. I recently discovered that I could be considered a horror lover since I do love stories that include serial killers, vampires, and some other stuff, but I am relatively new to this world, so I look forward to getting some reading tips!

Thank you, Kasia. They are great :) I have a feeling one, if not both, will become a favorite!

My name is Katie Hargrave. I love horror and when I seen the books for January 2021 and read them I decided this was the perfect group for me. I can't wait to see what else is recommended!

Hi! My name is Alexis. I have always loved everything horror but have recently become a horror novel addict. I can’t get enough.I just got a Kindle, which is how I rediscovered Goodreads, and I am so glad I did! Because I had no idea there were book discussions on here.
I am currently reading House of Leaves. I read somewhere it was supposed to be the scariest book of all. So far it’s not..
I look forward to discovering new horror titles that will keep me up all night looking over my shoulder.

Welcome Alexis. I’m in your camp. I was not a fan of House of Leaves. But, don’t despair, you will find plenty of good, white-knuckle horror here in Horror Aficionados!

Hello and welcome to HA, Alexis!

Hello, I'm Katrina! I love horror books (and movies). I also read fantasy and thriller stories. Can't wait to discover new ones!
Welcome to the HA group, Katrina :)
Hey everyone! I'm Chris and as a goal for the new year and a life goal, is to read more. I didn't appreciate reading until later in life. Even though I had a parent who was and still is a voracious reader, I didn't pick it up until I took on some of those adult roles we tend to fall into or take by the horns to see what shakes out. As a side effect of those roles, I escaped in books. But even that was a slow start. I read maybe 2-3 books a year for several years. But in the last few years I upped my reads to 4-7 books a year, and feel I'm getting in a great mental space to read more. My goal is 20 books this year and to stay accountable I'm joining Good Reads to get into some clubs and post my thoughts about what I'm reading. I hope by being active in the community's I join, I'll keep up with the reading and maybe start my own club. Who knows. I'm reading three books at the moment, one of which is horror. Stephen King's Salem's Lot. Nice and easy, right? It feels easy to read and I'm really liking it. Looking forward to discussions and recommendations.
Hello! I am new to the group, avid reader and listener to audio books, and love anything horror. So excited to see the wide array of people, topics and tastes in this group. It’s exciting to get on here and find unique titles or authors new to me. Can’t wait to dive into the recommended! Some of my favorites have been anything by Clive Barker, of course Stephen King, and recently enjoyed Mexican Gothic and The Hollow Places. I will be following along and looking forward to maybe engaging on some future topics!
Hi, I'm Bill Robertson. I just released a new Gothic Poetry Slam video I think you all will like. In it I read 20 of my scariest poems in 7 minutes. Assembled like a spooky slideshow with accompanying photos & sound effects, it's a creepy excursion into the Twilight Zone. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/GC-8-P0USr8
Greetings and salutations friendo Bill.

Hi everyone, just joined again after a long hiatus, excited about getting back to my favorite pastime. I love ALL things dark and macabre so definitely a HUGE horror fan! Life happens but here I am so definitely looking forward to checking out some new books!
Hey everyone! I'm Shay and have loved horror my entire life. I know my Goodreads is pretty empty of books right now but I just know this group will recommend some amazing books for me so please give me all the recommendations haha. I work in a library so it should be fairly easy for me to (hopefully) find the books! I like all genres of horror that I've tried but I know there are some that I probably haven't even heard of so I'm pretty open to books!
