Hey! My name is Sébastien and I live in France. I used to read a lot some years ago but as I became a father and as I started to study again on the same time, I had much much less time to read fiction books. Since I got some free time again, I wish to turn this year as the big return of fiction reading! As I stopped reading for some years I've a lot to discover now and I'm a bit lost with all that I missed. I'm fond of horror stories, be it by a big renowned author or a totally unknown writer. I've no real favorite theme, as long as it has some creepy details! I hope I'll find here good recommandations thanks to you all :-)
Happy New Year!
I am Vera and I like to read about Baseball , horror, sports , war and non fiction books . I live with my two cats and a dog and I am 32 years old ! Other than reading I am a baseball umpire
Hi, I'm Audra from Iowa! I saw someone recommend this group on Instagram. I'm fairly new to doing a large amount of reading. I have a huge amount of books on my TBR....lol. I'm interested in all things Paranormal, Ghosts, Vampires, Aliens, Werevolves, etc.. Also enjoy a good Slasher and I'm also getting into Thrillers.
Welcome to Sébastien, Vera and Audra! You will find plenty of excellent recommendations here for sure! :)
Welcome to all new members! o/And Vera, I'd say reading about serial killer in real life would just be classed as Non-Fiction but if you're reading about serial killers in a fictional sense then yes of course it would be classed as Horror.
I read both fiction and non fiction , anyway some gruesome details in non fiction can be classified as horror to me :)
Vera wrote: "I read both fiction and non fiction , anyway some gruesome details in non fiction can be classified as horror to me :)"Eh.......totally agree. Ted Bundy springs to mind, a serial killer that done some gruesome thing's that I consider horrific.
But, what a fascinating individual to study. I've watched and read everything when it comes to Ted Bundy. He was the ultimate predator, unassuming, non-threatening, charming, confident, good social skills and most of all he'd perfected the art of manipulation. You'd never see him coming because he's the last person in the room you'd suspect, gives you chills thinking about it.
"What, Ted? The life and soul of the party!? No way, he's not a killer."
Hello I'm Robert I enjoy all different kinds of books, I am excited to join this group and broaden the kind of horror books I can read.
Hi all, new here, I'm Siân from Wales! Trying to get back into reading after not having read much over the past few years, excited to get some good recommendations to help me reach my 2021 challenge goal!
Hello, I’m Casthavian!I’m looking forward to swell up my friends list a wee bit with like-minded people who love horror and to share books with! 🤪
Hi, everyone - thanks for allowing me to join the fun. I'm a long time horror lover turned horror author. I've got a dark side that writes erotic horror . . . a darker side that writes hardcore/extreme horror.

not necessarily depending on how the story is written, it can also be classified as a thriller.
Hi everyone! I’m Michelle and am relatively new to goodreads. Thanks for letting me join this fantastic group! I love to read almost any type of book, but love the work of horror stories, it’s movies, tattoo artwork, and memorabilia. Clive Barker has been a long time favorite, but I’m looking forward to trying all of your recommendations and developing some new favorites, along with hopefully making some new friends that share my love of reading.
