Hello. I'm Lu and just hljoined the group. I love horror, mysteries, thrillers and sci-fi books and if there's also a bit of suspense, angst or humor in there, I'm sold.
Good Day everyone:My name is Betty and I was so happy to find this group on Goodreads!
Couple of recent favourites would be Paul Tremblay's Head Full of Ghosts and Grady Hendrix's The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires .
Looking forward to hearing recommendations and opinions.

Hello everyone,my name is Inci, I live in Berlin and I’ve been a very avid horror reader for quite some time now, but never thought about connecting with other horror readers on GR until now, quarantine and all… I do prefer supernatural horror (especially cosmic horror in all its variations old and new), and really enjoy reading or watching horror from all around the world. My favorite horror book (well, novella) of the last few years is “The Sea Dreams It is the Sky” by John Hornor Jacobs. This will be my first GR group and I’m very happy and excited to explore this one!
Best
Hi Alan,I used to really enjoy reading him when I was a teenager, but right now his writing doesn’t do it for me anymore. I understand his immense importance for the genre and find the whole Lovecraftian mythology fascinating, though. I also do understand the problematic about his persona, his views and I’m always excited about authors who take that and put their own twist in it!
Hello and welcome to HA, Inci! I too am a cosmic horror fan but do not read much Lovecraft anymore. I love what modern day cosmic horror writers are doing with the genre.
inciminci, If you want a more currant take on cosmic horror, then you may want to look at Brian Lumley, he take inspiration from lovecraft, but without any of the issue that plauge his work,
Thank you for your kind welcomings.Alan A. thanks a lot for the recommendation, I'll start the Titus Crow series right away! I like it here already!
