Hi I'm Steve I've been into horror books and movies as long as I can remember. I like supernatural horror the most.
Hi. New to group. From Upstate New York. Been reading horror since 7th grade. (King, Koontz, Barker...) I'm English teacher / Musician. (44years old) I enjoy horror/literature/splatter punk. King and Koontz don't do it for me anymore. I can;' get past their writing, outside some early King books...I'm looking for books that push the limits...No Tim Miller or Matt Shaw.... More like Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z Brite, Carlton Mellick III, or Dennis Cooper...
Hi! I’m Raechel, I’m from NJ. I’m new to the group, not new to goodreads, and am happy to have found this place! Anyone is welcome to friend me, I love looking at people’s lists and finding new ideas for things to read. I recently lost my Goodreads account that I’ve had since high school (I’m 29) and wasn’t able to get it back. Which was honestly such a 2020 thing to happen. So this is my new account, and I’m still trying to track everything I’ve read already. I’ve loved horror books for as long as I can remember! I love Stephen King (my favorite book of all time, of any genre is IT), Joe Hill, Anne Rice, Richard Laymon. I’ve recently read some Grady Hendrix which I surprisingly enjoyed. I’m looking to meet some new people, participate in some cool discussions, and read some of the group reads together.
Hey there! I'm Aron Silver. I write mature horror stories. The type where the characters are more than just fodder for slaughter, making their dealings with and contributions to the horror all the more impactful. I'm a big fan of Stephen King and Lovecraft, which is reflected in my writing as well. Happy to find out more about other unique authors as well. Cheers! Aron.
Hi there. I have been on Goodreads for quite some time, but just recently joined this group. I have always loved horror films, but only just this year took a more serious interest in horror fiction. Not super into werewolves/vampires, but really like psychological horror.Love authors like Patrick McGrath and have recently started getting into some graphic novels in the horror genre as well. Looking forward to participating in the group in the future. Nice to meet everyone!
Mike from Colorado. I wrote the Deadman graphic novels illustrated by Kelley Jones. I've written three horror novels. The other night I watched Devil's Gate. It wasn't very good. But if you're looking for outstanding horror, Exorcist III is almost as good as Exorcist. Exorcist II, not so much!
Hi! I’m Bruce, living in Tampa, Florida. I enjoy horror films and fiction, but mainly gothic horror themed ones. My favorite horror type books are probably Frankenstein, Dracula, The Turn of the Screw, and The Picture of Dorian Gray. Also, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and Interview with the Vampire, although for Jekyll and Hyde, I found that I probably liked the films of it more than the book (the book was still great though).I’m currently reading The Vampire’s Servant, by Joey W Hill.
Haven't been here in awhile, so I thought I'd update. Real name is Chris H. Stevenson, but I write YA under my pen name Christy J. Breedlove. I wrote the YA fantasy/thriller series Screamcatcher, of which there are three books. Just recently Screamcatcher: Web World took the YA bronze medal in horror in the Reader's Favorite International Book Awards Contest; the 5-Star badge and review, and YA Book of the Year in the N.N. Light Novel Writing Contest. I'm also entered in the Eric Hoffer and Next Generation Indie Awards. The same book is getting a very soft knock from the Hollywood direction. So pretty pleased with the result of this series. I have dozens of other books in the adult category and various genres. I haven't had a chance to list everything, and about six of them have been published in just the last 18 months, with a new one under contract now. I run Guerilla Warfare for Writers, the watchdog and writer advocacy site.
Hello,My name is Brian Mayfield, and I love zombie movies, TV shows, and books! I was inspired to start writing my own book after reading the Dead of Night series by Jonathan Maberry. I've taken a long break from it, but I'm thinking about getting back into it.
Hi there friends! Laurie from New York and I just found out about Goodreads TODAY (No I don't live under a rock...LOL) Been a horror junkie since I was old enough to put 2 letters together. Started the journey with King, Koontz, Rice, Saul & Straub & current faves are Joe Hill, Joe Hart & Amy Cross. There are just too many great authors to name, but I've read most of em. Can't wait to get involved!
Hey there, HA. Logged in from NZ and into Lovecraft and Lovecraftian horror in general. I am exploring new things and hope to extend my horror reading when the current waiting list is under control.
Hi Everyone, My name is Anneliese, and I run Spectrum Publishing. We publish a wide genre of titles, but lean towards LitRPG right now.I'm definitely in the camp of "read not watch". No horror movies for me!
I have just started narrating horror and LOVE it.
