I better introduce myself properly, my name is Jennifer as you probably guessed and I Love horror, supernatural, thrillers and all things that go bump in the night. I don’t scare easy, probably just as well LOLMy favourite authors, or first that I read ever and this genres are Stephen King naturally and Dean Koontz I have read a few thrillers and series i.e. James Patterson, Angela Marsdens etc. But I’m still in the process of finding out what’s out there which is why I joined this group. I have read a lot of the old horror classics and love them, it’s the new authors I’m excited to explore.
Nice to meet you all and look forward to hearing what you read and what your thoughts are on your books.
Hi folks, nice to meet you all. I'm a horror author and have loved the genre since I discovered I enjoyed having the bejesus scared out of me as a youngster (eternally grateful to Doctor Who for that...) Favourite writers (though not all horror based) are probably Clive Barker, Iain Banks, James Herbert, John Wyndham, Mike Mignola and Neil Gaiman. I also live in village in Scotland which I suspect is full of shapeshifters. I have one short published and a book coming out soon.
Hey everyone! My name is Liz. My older sister introduced me to the horror genre as a preteen and I have been obsessed ever since. Carrie by Stephen King was my first read followed by Lovecraft's Necronomicon. Majored in Literary Analysis, took a class on 18th century Gothic Literature; furthering my love and becoming my favorite subgenre. Since then I have been side tracked by other books/book challenges/finishing old series. I have been looking for a group such as this to dive back into the genre, explore and talk to others who enjoy it.
Hi Everyone! My name is Leigh.
I've been a journalist for 15 years.
I love witches and vampires.
Sleepy Hollow, NY is my favorite place to visit.
Movie that scared me the most: Aliens.
Book that scared me the most: The Girl Next Door.
I recently published a novella on the Jersey Devil (I'm originally from Southern New Jersey).
Thanks for having me!
Welcome to HA, Leigh! My grandfather used to have a campsite at Sleepy Hollow, NY every summer! I love it there!!
Greetings! I’m H.L. Sudler, an author of six books. I’m currently at work on a seventh. I read a great deal of genres, except maybe romances. Reading horror novels got me through a difficult childhood, which is why I have a fondness for them. I found them fun and thrilling, and a I was a shy and abused kid (so I read books, lots of them). I still like horror, and a majority of what I read is recommended to me.
I have written my own collection of short horror stories, and have finished a new story for an upcoming anthology this autumn. I’m eager to hear what everyone is reading, old and new
Hello and thank you for admitting me to the group! I have loved horror since I was very young and am thrilled to join like minded people! I have never joined a group before, so this will be interesting and fun!
