I don't know if I introduced myself before. I've been lurking like a creepy creeper for some time, though! haha! My name's Kerry E.B. Black, and it's nice to "meet" fellow enthusiasts. I live in the land of Romero. I'm a chicken, in truth, but I use horror as a way of coping with real life terrors. I believe many of us, whether we realize it or not, respond to the metaphors represented by our monsters, don't you?

Ambrose Bierce is masterful. Have you read Peter Straub's Ghost Story? Chilling tale of retribution and responsibility. So good!
Hello and welcome, Kerry! Please don't get us started on Ghost Story. ;)(Though I believe there's a buddy read of it going on right now, in the buddy read section.)
Hello everyone. It's Abhishek from Sydney kicking off a year of reading horror with a Stephen King marathon beginning with his more recent work and making my way through his back catalog. I'll be taking occasional breaks from King by reading horror fiction from other authors, be it the gothic horror of Stoker, Shelley and Poe to historical horror fiction by Simmons and Katsu. I'll be checking in with this group often for inspiration.
Hi everyone. I'm Matt Norman a new member of the group. I currently live in Christchurch, been in NZ for ten years now.Previously, I lived in Suffolk, UK until 2008 until I decided to leave, traveled and worked abroad in OZ and Japan. I love horror, especially Apocalypse, zombies, brains and vampires. I have been writing for three years now and luckily my first novel got picked up last August 2019 by Severed Press.
#RoadTripZ Five friends and a former U.S Marine travel across Utah and Portland looking for salvation. End of the world. Zombies and er... brains.
I am on Goodreads, Twitter, Instagram and I love to chat...
We have other New Zealand members here as well, M.P. Welcome to HA!Welcome Abhishek and Matt as well!
Hi everyone! My name is Alli and I'm in my early 20's. I've been going to university for a couple years now, and as a result I haven't been reading "fun books" as much as I would have liked. Having found some more free time, I'm hoping to find some other horror stories that aren't just Stephen King! I'm also hoping to find other people with similar taste in books and other media. For the most part, psychological horror is what I'm drawn to but I'm a fan of most anything that can make me squirm, shriek, or stay awake at night.
Hey all, I'm Sean. I live in the deep south (Chattanooga, TN) and I've always been a fan of horror fiction. It's the one genre I constantly seek out.
Hi,I finally found out the web interface was better than the app to find groups. Link to my profile :

I posted my latest horror review in the 2020 read thread.
Hi all, I'm Brian from Virginia. I'm pretty new to Good Reads and just diving into some of the groups who share a love of genres with me. I'm looking forward to a fun bunch of discussions.I recently finished "Imaginary Friend" by Stephen Shbosky. Some of my go-to authors in this genre include Richard Matheson, and the classics from Poe and Lovecraft. Hopefully I will get some good recommendations for new authors from the group.
Looking forward to some good reads and discussions!
