Hi I'm Margaret. I've been an avid reader all my life, but I particularly like anything to do with horror, ghosts, the supernatural, occult happenings etc. The scarier the better.I've recently finished The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson and The Devil's Missal by Cathy Dobson. Both excellent - but quite different from each other. But I'm also going to have a browse here and see what other books you have all enjoyed.

Hi everybody, I'm Arturo, a fan of Horror books and films, my favourite topics are demons and ghosts. My first reading was Misery(SK) without knowing the author :D, after that I looked for more books. Usually I rewatch classics like The Omen or The Exorcist. I'm sure I'll get good recommendations here :)

Hello, my name is Lou, I’m from the UK and I love all things dark and spooky.I have been an avid reader from a young age and I remember being bought a stack of R. L. Stine Goosebump books, and absolutely devouring them. I still remember a few, such as “It Came from Beneath the Sink!” and “The Werewolf of Fever Swamp”.
Years later, I discovered King while at uni and haven’t looked back.
My favourite book has got to be Pet Sematary. I have read it a handful of times and even though I know what is coming, I still get shivers down my spine. Neither of the movies can compare to ink on paper.
I can’t wait to discover new reads, old reads and must reads, and share thoughts and opinions on the latest reads with like minded people.

Hello, just joined. Glad to see a lively community here. I carefully read the rules, but I don't know what Group Reads are, and I'd like to know where to find the Author's Promotional section.I'm looking forward to participating. I've always liked Stephen King, Shirley Jackson, Bloch, Tanith Lee, R.E. Howard, Fantasy crossovers like Vance and Wolfe and all those creepy 19th century authors like Blackwood and M.R. James, Stoker and Shelley.
Just this summer my first novel was published, and I'd like to let the group know about it, but I don't want to break the rules. It's not straight horror, but it did win a Finalist Award in the Horror Category from Readers' Favorite. And, looking for more reviews.

The way Group Reads works is, every month a theme is chosen by the mods (or occasionally no particular theme) and peeps vote on what book they would like to read together. The top 2 vote getters win, and threads are created where said peeps comment on the particular book as they read through it during the month. Like a virtual book club. There's also a Buddy Read section where a few peeps decide to read a particular book together aside from the main group monthly reads.

Hi Everyone . I love to watch and read horror themed genres. I like to sink myself into the unknown of the paranormal and the supernatural. What I see and what I believe is not the same . There must be another realm that exist !
