Hey! You can call me Grey. I love a good ghost book and am especially weak for haunted houses. I'm not new to goodreads, but I never checked out the more social aspects of it. Hoping to fill my home feed with some great discussion and suggestions! If you think we share similar tastes, feel free to send me a friend request.
Hi GuysTober Charles here. I'm a Stephen King, James Herbert, Clive Barker fan. Very happy to join this group. Looking forward to some great recommendations.
Just gonna copy paste some of my intro from another group since it talks about horror already.I've been technically in this group for a while but I haven't actually done anything haha. Hello everyone! I'm Ethan. I've been in love with horror and adventure fiction specifically, especially in books. I am not particularly fond of thrillers, but I really like contemplative stories and horror, old school adventure, and sci-fi tend to very much lend themselves to that, so that's what I like to read.
I live in Washington state (no no DC, thats on the other side of the country) so I've always grown up around very thick forest and nature, and etc. The idea of 'the woods' has always intrigued me a lot and folklore is something I like to study in my spare time. Particularly ghost stories, but I'm just interested in how these stories are spread across a culture and what they might reflect by their presence.
Welcome Ethan! i like the idea of "the woods" as well. and i LOVE folklore. any of it! ghost stories are awesome.
Welcome indeed Ethan. Washington is AWESOME!
Hello everyone,My name is David Mayo and I have come to the world of writing late in life. I am 69 years old, retired and I have released two novels to Amazon in the past 45 days. One is Sci-Fi, the other, Horror. I had dabbled in screenplays in the past and came very close to selling one. I also have a number of dark poems. Is there a market for such?

Welcome to HA, David!
I've read a few volumes of dark poetry from Stephanie Wytovich, so there IS a market for that.

Welcome to the group (although I am somewhat of a fringe member, not having the time to participate much....yet). As far as the "dark" poetry....poetry is poetry. Each type different. I'm certain, as Sonya said that there is a place for it. I'd read it too.
Hello there!I am a Dark Humour /Horror novelist with a debut novella out (I put it in the Author folder)
My books border Bizarro style and I'm hoping to engage in some readers here who enjoy a side of humour to their gore
Christopher Conlon here—I’m a writer and editor in the horror field (see http://christopherconlon.com) and teach a semester course in Horror Fiction, as well. Hoping for some friendly chats with like-minded folks!
Hello Christopher. I truly enjoyed doing on the cover art for POE'S LIGHTHOUSE. Do you have anything like that planed for the future? --Alan M. Clark
Great to hear from you, Alan! No definite project at the moment but I will soon be shopping around a concept or two to publishers, so we’ll see. I’d be delighted to work with you again. FYI, my framed print of your LIGHTHOUSE cover hangs in my study to this day.
