Horror Aficionados discussion
Introduce Yourself!
Hi all, I’m in the early throes of trying to find my way around Goodreads, so it’s currently a bit of a blunderfest. I tend to read more bizarre and weird horror, which is also what I write.

Hello and welcome, Peter! If you have any questions about navigating HA, ask anyone. We're all pretty friendly.
Hi! I'm Tyler. I adore books in general, but horror was my first love and its a genre I always find myself returning to it one way or another. I love horror things in general (movies, games etc.) but I think fiction is where the masterpieces begin. I'd love to meet some other people I can talk to about this stuff.
Hi all! I'm not new to Goodreads, but still pretty new to groups :) So I wanted to write a little something-something. I'm currently reading Pet Semetary in anticipation of the upcoming film. Looking forward to some good suggestions from this group in the future!
Hi. I'm new to Goodreads. Still trying to figure it out. I'm a retiree and an author of a Gothic fantasy called The Watchful Dead, which is on Amazon. I live in the Twin Cities area with my wife, Debbie, and my rescue dog, Lucy. I grew up watching classic horror movies like Frankenstein, Dracula and Wolf Man on late-night TV and reading Poe, Lovecraft and the like. Then went on to slasher and horror films and modern horror writers like King, Herbert, Pecirilli, McCammon. I still enjoy reading classic horror.

It starred Fred Gwynne (we all know him as Herman Munster).
Hi, I'm Jiji and I love all things horror. Me mum loved horror--particularly Koontz--and we used to trade books back and forth and chat about them over tea. I'm glad to meet others that love to read the genre and hope to nerd out with you all and find some good reads ;).
Hello! I'm Adrienne. I'm a long-time fan of horror in film (so excited to see Us next week!) and video games, but relatively new to reading it. I love talking about the genre, and am thrilled to have found this group. Some recent reads I've loved include The Woman in Black, Death Troopers (campy and ridiculous, but fun), and The Hunger, which I saw was on the current poll for book choices. I mainly do audiobooks these days because I have about an hour commute one-way, and I think it's such a great way to get into the atmosphere of a book.
I think my favorite sub-genres would have to be ghosts, followed closely by the supernatural in general, and anything aboard space ships because I love the added layer of terror that having no where to go imparts.
I also enjoy comics - does that fall within the group's discussions? Either serious horror like 30 Days of Night or campier stuff that's more horror-themed than anything, like Afterlife with Archie or Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Looking forward to chatting with y'all!
Welcome! I’m not sure if there’s a thread for comics but if not, we can fix that and you can discuss to your heart’s content!
Hello my name is Marie and I love everything horror! I have been reading horror books since I was a little girl and though I love to read a lot of books my favorite has always been horror.
