Hi Sarah! I know it's kind of late but can I be switched from for fun to for serious? I just got in the mail a series I know I'm going to marathon.

This is my first time and I just want to clarify a few things. Sorry if they are repeats, I tried to read through all the pages to make sure my questions weren't already answered. 1. Buddy reads do not need to be from people in your team, it can be any buddy read, is that correct?
2. I saw someone mention that if they didn't comment with 4 statuses, then a small summary is needed. Clarification: when reading, we need to post 4 updates or posts on our team page throughout the book OR we need to do a summary/large post at the end. Is that right?
3. Anything else I am missing that needs to be done to get the pages/books to count?

It's either 4 detailed status updates, or a review with details. The status updates are on your updates for the book rather than your team. For buddy reads, you have to comment 4 times on the buddy read thread with comments about the book, so chapter 1 (view spoiler), chapter 8 (view spoiler)for example ☺

I could be moved to a serious team if I read at least 8 books this month. What about the points? Will it be deducted from my previous team and added on the serious team?

You can start on your own timezone if you want to though, you just have to end on your timezone too ☺
EST would actually be three hours later than goodreads time. So it would be 3am at midnight goodreads time.

and others that I can't remember, but we've had a different team challenge every month since January, I think

New Years Resolution was a team challenge? I can't even keep track of what was solo and what was with a team LOL
Good Reads time is Pacific time, they are exactly the same :-)

I follow my timezone, to be honest. For me, it starts in 7 hours, though I'll only start it in 12 hours (gotta sleep)
I am in EST so I am a bit confused on what time it is over there lol
I usually do too Tati but Sarah just posted the goidreads time so I thought I should go with that. :)
It ends up being the same for me, as I don't stay up until ungodly hours to finish a book (that might change this month, thanks to vacation time).
If you look above Sarah posted what time zone goodreads is in and we in EST are three hours ahead?
