Glad to help, especially when it means reuniting someone with an excellent book :)
I've tried searching for it, but its not popping up for me, I read the book when I was 12 or so and my memory of the book is mostly hazy, 15 years later.
The book starts out about a group of boys, two in particular, all slaves, living on an island or something with a revered slave master ( possibly known as the "Dom"). When the boys become old enough, they are taken on shore to be sold. When the two main characters go to shore they end up wandering around with a girl or something, and they are taken to a castle or town and become highly successful or popular in the area. The more popular boy, the one that the story is mostly about, dies trying to win a girl, and the other main character lives on trying to fill in his shoes. This is how i remember the book and may be nothing like the actual story, but I've been looking for this book for years and can't seem to find it any where! If you have info, please let me know!
