Lila walked into the library after dinner. After the queen had showed them the library, it was all that she could think about. Well, that and the prince of course. She walked through the library, gazing in wonderment at all of the books.

Anastasia wandered into the library, having just left dinner. She took one step, then stared in awe. She moved about the shelves, taking in one title after another. She smiled. She couldn't wait to start reading...

A noise from the other side of the room shocked her out of her stupor, and she looked up to see another Selected girl wandering about the library. It was Lila, the girl from the powder room and dinner. "Hey, Lila!" she called, smiling from ear to ear. "I guess we both had the same idea, huh?"

Lila was concentrating on looking at all of the books and didn't even notice when Anastasia walked in. All of a sudden she heard her name and a little shock went through her. She turned around and saw that it was Anastasia.

"Oh, hello!" She smiled and walked over to her. "Yes, it does appear that we had the same idea." She looked at all of the books and said, "Isn't this the most beautiful library you have ever seen? It's gorgeous!"

Anastasia grinned. "Yes, it is!" she replied, sliding a thick volume from one of the shelves. It was bound beautifully, and had gold trim and and some small jewels. "Take a look at this," she said, her mouth open. "These books are beautiful!"

Lila smiled as she took out a book. "Yes, they are all so elegant and beautiful. It's astonishing." She was loving the castle already, but especially the library. She could see herself staying here and reading for hours on end.

The queen snuck into the library before anyone could see her. She moved to the back of the library where no one would find her.

Lila continued to walk throughout the library. She eventually found one book that she really wanted to read and settled down in one of the comfy chairs.

The queen picked up the book she was reading the last time she was in the library. She sat down and started to read.

Lila decided to go to her room for a bit. She went to the librarian, checked out the book, and then walked to her room.

The queen read for almost two hours. She stood up and walked out of the library and to her room.

Anastasia picked up the entire Tolkien collection, and checked it out. She then headed to her room.

Emily walked in to the library and started examining the books , she wanted to read a little bit .

Lila walked back into the library. She had finished her book from earlier and had to return it. She gave it back to the librarian and decided to look for some more books.

Emily heard someone entering , but she was really concentrated in her book so she didn't saw the girl .

Lila walked around, finding the area where she had last looked at books. There were so many to choose from and it was really difficult to figure out which book to pick. She sighed, looking at all of her choices.

Iliana walked into the library looking for something to read at night as she couldn't sleep due to nightmares about Lucian finding her and hurting her again. She didn't see the King.

(( Hmm well in the book they used the title Lady but I don't know. Dear or dearie sounds fine to me :) ))

Iliana jumped at seeing the King. "I'm sorry your majesty. I didn't mean to disturb you. I was only trying to find a book to read as I have trouble sleeping," she said. Up close the King wasn't that scary and he had a kindly look in his eyes so she hoped he wouldn't hit her or anything. She wished she could get rid of this irrational fear of any unknown male.

She nodded. The fact he was acting like a kindly father was helping her with her fear of him. " I don't know whether you would mind but could you recommend a book to me?as there is so much to choose from and I can't make up my mind," she said looking around at the shelves filled with books. She hoped she hadn't over stepped at all.

Iliana followed him. She didn't mind what she read along as they didn't remind her of being abused and hurt. She was glad the King didn't seem offended by her request.

"Thank you but I like any genre along as they don't contain abuse and are fictional." she said as she looked at the shelves. She only really read at night, she much preferred socialising or helping others.

She sat down opposite him. "I think the castle is a beautiful place and very well maintained. I love some of the landscapes that are on some of the walls in the hallways. They are beautiful. Are they of real places? I haven't really spoken to any maid beyond my own but she seems okay. She does her work well enough anyway." she said smiling. She didn't really know what to think of her maid.

"I have spoken to him once in a group conversation. He seems to be a good man which there is a lack of now days. What I have seen of him, I like. He is not removed from the public like some of the second caste like to pretend they are," she said thinking about it. She didn't really know him well.

She got up and curtised to him. "Thank you for taking the time to show me the books. It was nice to talk to you," she said with her normal smile. The only times she didn't smile where when someone was being horrible to someone else or she was extremely upset.

Iliana nodded. The king was nice but it could be a front. She picked out a book to read about a young girl who fell in love with the wrong person and left the library.

Savannah entered the library with the Queen, eyes wide as she took in the huge amount of books. "Wow," she said, awe leaking into her voice. "You have a lot of books here."

The queen entered the library behind Savannah; she smiled.

Savannah turned to the Queen, blushing slightly at the words she was going to say. "Please don't tell anyone but... I cannot read," she let out with a soft sigh. "I'd love to learn but.. well.. I don't want to waste anyone's time," she mumbled. She then shook her head and smiled at her. "Do you like to read?"

The queen frowned when Savannah told her the she could not read, "Then I will teach you personally." She smiled once more. "Do you know how to write?"

"Really?" She asked, not being able to suppress the surprise in her voice. Than, she got asked if she knew how to write and she nodded, smiling slightly. "I do know how to write. I did have a teacher, but well, it was expensive and I didn't want my parents to get in trouble so, I only learned how to write. Reading is a lot harder though. I'm dyslectic," she sighed.

Queen Victoria nodded, "Yes, really. We can keep this our little secret right?"

Dante walked in the library and ran his fingers through his hair. He scanned the room and saw his mother with a selected girl. It would be rude to ignore them... He sighed. Oh well, maybe it wouldn't be that bad.

Savannah laughed softly. "Yes we can. Thank you, Your Majesty," she chuckled softly, smiling gratefully afterwards. "The others would probably make fun out of me for not being able to read," she bit her lip.

The queen turned and saw her son, "Dante come here please." She called to him.

Savannah turned slightly as she heard the Queen speak, and saw Dante. She watched him, curious. She had to be the one that hadn't met him yet. The other girls weren't afraid to swoon. Well, she was just... She didn't know what to have with guys other than friendship. She had never been in love.

Dante gave a sheepish grin and walked over to the girl and his mother. "Hello, Mother," he said and turned to the girl. "I'm quite sorry, but I'm terrible with names. Please remind me of yours." he told her.

Lila walked back into the library. She had finished the stack of books that she had just gotten a couple of days prior. She brought in the books and then saw the Queen. She walked over to her and said, "Good morning, your majesty." She curtsied.

Savannah chuckled at his words and shook her head. "I'm Savannah," she smiled at him. "And I don't mind. Must be hard, remembering so many names. I'm not good at it," she admitted with a soft laugh.

The queen turned to her son Dante, "Dante, there is something I need to ask you." She took a deep breath, "What do you think about this whole selection thing?"

As Lila got closer and curtsied to the queen, she saw that another Selected girl and the Prince were also there. "Oh! Good morning, Dante." She also curtsied to him. She then looked at the other Selected girl. "Oh, hello! I'm Lila. I don't think we've been introduced before." She held out a hand to shake.

[Za-za]

"The Selection has been nothing but positive so far." Dante told his mother as he lied through his teeth. "I cannot believe how fortunate I am to possibly have one of these lovely ladies as a future wife." he looked over at the girl who had just arrived. "Why, hello, Miss Lila. How has your day be so far?" he asked politely.

Savannah turned to Lila and shook her hand. "Hi," she said, smiling. "No I don't think so. I was in the gardens most of the time," she admitted. "I'm Savannah," she introduced herself and let go off the girl's hand. When Dante spoke, she couldn't help but notice his lie. She could hear right through it, and it made her wonder how he truly felt about this whole show.

Queen Victoria looked at her son and knew that he was lying. She had been living with him since she gave birth to him. "Well...you don't know if...or what happens later..." The queen went with it. "I know that the selection has already started, but...I started to doubt this." She did not tell him about maybe letting him be on his own instead of the selection.

Lila could also tell that Dante was lying. From the looks on Savannah and the Queen's faces, she could tell that they knew he was lying as well. She smiled at Savannah as they shook hands. As she listened to the Queen, she heard that the Queen was wondering if the Selection was a good idea or not. But- what will happen if they cancel the Selection? I really hope that they don't. She startled a bit when she realized that Dante had asked her a question. "Oh! I'm sorry, I forgot to answer your question, Dante." She smiled sheepishly. "I have had an amazing day so far. I walked through the gardens earlier and have been in the library more times than I can count." She smiled. "I absolutely adore reading." She paused. "Do you like reading, Dante?"

Dante grinned, "Well, seeing as I'm here of my own free will and I'm a teenage boy, I do believe that reading is something that I enjoy doing. Just don't tell my cousin. I think he'd have a stroke and die laughing if he found out." he said, trying to ease the awkward mood. He looked over to his mother and caught her eye. He had to start getting to know all of the girls better if he was going to go through with the whole selection thing.

Emily entered to the library and saw a group of girls with the prince and the queen , she decided to go with them . She curtsied and smiled to the other girls .

Savannah chuckled softly at Dante's words, though she felt a little left-out. She glanced at the Queen and bit her lip. She didn't read. She couldn't read. How much harder could it get? She felt really stupid. The only thing she was good at, was working outside. Well, what a plus. "Well, you shouldn't care about what your cousin thinks," she shook her head, looking at Dante, chuckling a little. "So if you enjoy reading, than what is your favorite book? Now if that's something embarrassing, than maybe you shouldn't tell your cousin," she teased slightly, chuckling.

The queen listened to Savannah which made her wonder if she really wanted to tell her family that was a huge nerd. She shook the thought from her head. "Dante dear, I am sure that you will love the selection once there is some eliminating."

Lila laughed and grinned back at Dante. He's really funny! "That's great, reading is my favorite pastime. And yes, I am curious like Savannah. If you don't mind sharing, what is your favorite book?" She looked curiously at Dante. She smiled at Emily as she walked into the library. It was nice to see another friendly face. She listened to the queen but really just heard one word. Eliminating Her heart started beating faster and she bit her lip. She knew that eliminations would have to start at some point, but she still didn't like facing the reality of it. Other than biting her lip, she didn't show any other signs of nervousness though.
