SP 2014 RwS Completed Tasks - Spring 2014
Rachelccameron wrote: "He was born in Lebanon but lived in France and now Canada... so I don't get non-western points right?"Right. Sorry, but he does not qualify as Non-Western either.
Kate, #313 on the list for 10.4 is The Complete Works by William Shakespeare. The Tempest alone is #745. Are you allowing The Complete List to qualify all of Shakespeare's plays for 10.4?
D wrote: "One thing I'm confused about though. As long as those short story editions stay combined, I think the system will revert to the 1959 date. Never fear, we have entered 1966 in our Reading With Style database, and that will stick!

Thanks, Kate. That is a gift for several of us! That will add +5 for Richard II in Post #87 as well.

Thanks so much for explaining it. I wasn't concerned about the points, but it was driving me nuts trying to figure out why the page still said 1959, especially when I could see that you had tried to change it. And I don't blame you for not wanting to sort through at least 121 editions of Flowers for Algernon to separate the novel from the short story!

For some reason the ISBN keeps coming up as the French version. I hope this okay?

This does not appear to work for 20.5. Much of this book seems to be about her as an American in Iran. As a foreigner, she is not a member of an Iranian minority

I'm showing 165 points on my records. (The problem is probably on Flying Home and Other Stories-- I picked up the extra 10 not-a-novel points, 5 Combo points for 20.5, and Elizabeth mentioned 5 Oldies points for this book in post 84. It is no big deal about 5 points, but I hate starting out the week all messed up. Thanks, and sorry for all the confusion.

165 is correct. I actually made an unrelated data entry error and will correct it before I update the Readerboard. Thank you for letting me know.

I'm very sorry. I was thinking about poetry, not plays. Only poetry is edition specific. The most popular English language edition of this play is only 83 pages, so does not qualify.

I'm sorry, Marie. This has a YA designation at BPL and has no lexile score, so does not qualify for EotP. With the word "sharp" in the title, it does qualify for 20.8 Spring Fling. Let us know if you want to claim it there.
