Right. Sorry, but he does not qualify as Non-Western either.

Theresa~OctoberLace (octoberlace) | 518 comments Kate, #313 on the list for 10.4 is The Complete Works by William Shakespeare. The Tempest alone is #745. Are you allowing The Complete List to qualify all of Shakespeare's plays for 10.4?

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14229 comments D wrote: "One thing I'm confused about though. When I look at the book's page it is still saying "first published January 1st 1959"."

I've asked in the Librarian's Group for someone with more patience and knowledge than I have to separate out the short story editions from the novel editions. As long as those short story editions stay combined, I think the system will revert to the 1959 date. Never fear, we have entered 1966 in our Reading With Style database, and that will stick!

Yes. The complete works includes all of his plays, and we will count each of his plays under this task. :)

Thanks so much for explaining it. I wasn't concerned about the points, but it was driving me nuts trying to figure out why the page still said 1959, especially when I could see that you had tried to change it. And I don't blame you for not wanting to sort through at least 121 editions of Flowers for Algernon to separate the novel from the short story!

Are these 5 points on the Readerboard you just posted, or will they be on next week? I'm showing 165 points on my records. (The problem is probably on Flying Home and Other Stories-- I picked up the extra 10 not-a-novel points, 5 Combo points for 20.5, and Elizabeth mentioned 5 Oldies points for this book in post 84. It is no big deal about 5 points, but I hate starting out the week all messed up. Thanks, and sorry for all the confusion.

165 is correct. I actually made an unrelated data entry error and will correct it before I update the Readerboard. Thank you for letting me know.

I'm very sorry. I was thinking about poetry, not plays. Only poetry is edition specific. The most popular English language edition of this play is only 83 pages, so does not qualify.
