How many books have you read so far in 2014?

Earlier on in the year I've been reading Shadowplay by Laura Lam which was wonderful.
I have the traditional dilemma as to what to read next and am torn between Joe Abercrombie's Last Agreement of Kings and Joanne Harris' Gospel of Loki.

The Fault In Our Stars, John Green.
Burial Rites, Hannah Kent.
Bitterblue, Kristin Cashore
:)

I'd have to say that The Lives of Tao is right up there as one of the books I've enjoyed the most so far. Also re-reading Peter F Hamilton's Commonwealth books - three down and now on to Temporal Void :)
As for what's next... well that's always the great dilemma. I have Katya's War and Student Bodies on the to-read list as I rather enjoyed the first in those series!

Immediate favorite books so far are Jeff Vandermeer's Wonderbook: The Illustrated Guide to Creating Imaginative Fiction (great for writers) and Joyce Carol Oates' The Corn Maiden and Other Nightmares.

I'm only on 8 :( I was ahead of myself up to a couple of weeks ago and now I'm just on track. Must get better! Shiver is the best of those, loved it.

Shiver is amazing!

according to my Pinterest board I have read 104 books after this month.

But just finished: Lockwood & Co. The Screaming Staircase, and loved it.
Also loved, loved, loved, Black Dog.
I'm one of the very few people that absolutely hated WINNER'S CURSE.

--BEASTLY by Alex Flinn, an urban retelling of Beauty & the Beast. Really enjoyed that.
--BREATHE by Sarah Crossen, a story of a future world that's short on breathable air.
--CONTROL by Lydia Kang, a dystopian involving genetic modification with X-Men-like results. Very cool club scenes with mood-altering drugs.
--BUMPED by Megan McCafferty, a chilling (yet often humorously written) future where only teens are able to birth babies.
--MOONLESS by Crystal Collier, a creepily dark tale of the Soulless and the hidden realms of magic.
