Lara and Katniss

My character is:
Name: Lexi
Age: 16
appearance: Ginger hair, blue eyes, freckles, pale skin. Average height, wiry frame. On the skinny side.
Personality: Shy and reserved with others. Reckless and daring when on her own. Doesn't like opening up to people.
Backround: A regular girl who consented to being tested on for money. Is now a shape-shifter and on the run.
Is that ok?

Age: 17
Appearance: Black hair with fringe, his hair spikes up in the back, but sometimes falls straight when he's to lazy to actually do his hair. He's a bit taller with his boots on since they add a few inches to himself, but he has Average height. He doesn't have a lot of muscles on his body, just a bit on his arms, but isn't totally detailed and built. He doesn't look like he could hold his own, but he can. He wears snake bites that he often chews on if he's nervous about something. He wears chains on his black pants, not mattering on what pair they are, and his shirts are dark and consist of band teeshirts.
Personality: He's kind of a wild guy, always liking to cause trouble and do anything to get into trouble. He doesn't like to really follow the rules. He enjoys pissing people off and is often a cusser. He can be a total sweetheart and caring if you get down and into his heart. He had been used quite a lot in his past so he isn't really one for trusting so easy.
Background: Drayven comes from a very wealthy family that he got his bike from, as well as most of the money and things that he has. He doesn't have a good relationship with his family though, they often just got him things because they wanted him to keep him off their backs. He decided to just leave, running away, and here he is today, living in a crappy apartment, has a part time job, going to high school, and running around having a blast.

Lexi brushed her hair behind her ears and scanned the street in front of her. Her back was pressed against a brick wall so tightly she could feel each individual brick leaving a print on her skin through her clothes. Her eyes followed the road to the building on the other side. It looked abandoned, with its boarded windows, and sagging roof. Taking a deep breath, she shifted herself into the appearance of a small blonde child, and joined a group of adults who were walking across the street.
She stuck closely to a young lady, hoping to come across as her child. When they had crossed, she quickly ran into the alley by the old building and looked up at the walls. She would say here for tonight, but just tonight. Then she would have to move on. She couldn't let the police find her. Checking to make sure that no-one was looking, she shifted herself back into her regular form and looked for some way to get into the building.

He did however look up to see a group of blonde children and a mother start walking across the street, causing him to have to stop quickly, slowing his bike down. He stood up with the stop, it almost throwing him off of the bike, but he was fine after. He noticed one of them dodging and going behind a building. He looked at the mother, raising his eyebrow. She didn't seem to notice, or care. He thought better of it for a second, knowing there were many kids that were running away down in these parts. He took his bike to the side and parked it. He waited for the family to go away before getting off and going on a small walk. "Hey." He called out, not sure if he was going to get an answer. He didn't even see anything of the girl, not knowing if she was really blonde or what. "I er- just wanted to warn ya, if you're running away, this isn't a safe place to go."

She looked around frantically for an excuse. "Yeah, I um... I think I can handle myself all right." This was true. Lexi knew how to get around without being seen. If someone wanted to hurt her, they would have to catch her first. She looked down at the cement beneath her feet, trying to decide whether she should make a run for it, or hope the boy left.

She made a decision, she would rather be shot than go back to those labs, so staying here was her only option. But maybe she should pretend she was going back, just to get rid of the boy. She was confused to why he cared enough to talk to her at all. "Ok." She said, "I better get home anyways." She lied. She didn't have a home.
Turning, she began to slowly walk away from the spot, hoping the boy left so she could find a hiding spot for the night. If he hung around that building too long, she would have to find another spot, and it was already getting late.

Drayven didn't know what was up with the girl but She was obviously in trouble by her body language. He didn't know if he wanted to get involved though, not having as much cash as he used to.

Deciding to play along, she raised a brow, challenging him, "Oh yeah? Give me one reason why you should know." She put her hands on her hips, glancing quickly at the sun that was just starting to set. She really needed to get moving: it was almost dark.

She looked at the sun again, it was almost completely gone past the horizon. Worry knotted her gut, it wasn't safe to be out at night. She knew that much. She turned and decided to just leave, hoping the boy would go his own way.

She walked around the corner of the building and began pulling the boards off a window. She ripped all the boards off, and quickly climbed inside, scanning the dusty interior. No-one was in here, but it was getting dark fast. She would have to resort to a trickier shift since she hadn't had enough time to find a spot to hide herself. Shifting into different people was no problem for her. But shifting into animals was a lot harder, and required more energy and concentration.
Making sure no-one was around, she shifted herself into a sparrow and flew to the rafters in the building. Hopefully she would be safe for the night, hopefully no one would notice her.
She thought about the boy she had met. Confused to why he had even stopped to talk at all. He did not look like the type of kid who was actually concerned about others. She briefly wondered if she would see him again, before tucking her head under a wing and trying to fall asleep.

Glancing quickly around, she started walking down the street, hoping to find a coffee shop or street vendor she could pickpocket from.

The vendor turned and noticed her, a look of utter rage on his features. Her eyes widened and she immediately sprinted away as fast as her now short legs could carry her. The man at the vendor shouted at her from behind, not willing to leave his stand to chase her.

She spotted and open garage door and ran towards it. It looked empty, and dark. A good place to quickly shift. She grew closer and realized that there might actually be someone in the garage. Then she recognized the person as the very same boy she had seen yesterday. She skidded to a stop, ready to spin around and go the other direction. She hoped desperately that he would not recognize her.

((On mobile so IMA be slow and I'm using data so I might have short replies. Sorry!))

Lexi rolled her eyes at his first comment. She shifted, relaxing slightly. "Not yet..." She couldn't explain that she had been running to try and find a spot to shift. She couldn't tell anyone that.
She tried to think up another excuse, but decided it was better not to, because all of them would sound stupid to this kid. She pulled out one of the apples she had stolen and bit into it, only realizing just then how hungry she was. "I had to grab breakfast." She said honestly.

In her mind, getting caught by a gang was nothing compared to getting caught by the police, even though it was probably the other way around for most people who lived out here.

She didn't really know what she wanted, just that she was hungry. "I'll have whatever you can give me." she said honestly. She felt bad taking his food, and she felt even worse asking for it. She didn't like admitting that she needed help... ever.

She didn't like running, but she knew she would have to get used to it. She didn't know what to say, so she just nodded weakly, "Yeah." Her voice was quiet.

Taking a bite out of the sandwich, she chewed it thoughtfully, quickly taking another bite. It was a lot better than food she had grown used to in the past couple years. "Thank you." She said slowly, not sure what else to say, "For the food I mean."
Boy is a street kid and a bit of a bad boy, but he has to keep up that reputation to survive on the streets. Deep down he is gentle and kind.
Story can go on from there however you like.
