Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments The boy sat and nodded, "The gangs did shoot them. That was until the cops started sending more of them out. Seems like the whole army is out there. They're all trying to get to the heart of the gang lands... no idea why. They aren't sticking around out here, so you should be fine if that is what you're asking." He explained.

message 152: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded, "I'm going to need to be fine. People are going to be out of their homes and needing medical help." He kelt down and stripped off the boy's jeans, at least the bottom section. "Enjoy your caprice." He looked at the bullet. He grabbed a cloth and stuck it in his mouth. "Don't scream to loud." He said as he started getting ready to pull the bullet out.

message 153: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments The boy nodded slowly, looking away so he wouldn't have to watch. He trusted Drayven, all the boys did when it came to taking bullets out. He tried to relax as much as possible, knowing that it would be harder to get the bullet out of his leg if his muscles were tense. He just hoped Drayven would do it quick and get it over with.

message 154: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven found the bullet after having to poke around a bit. He felt bad because he was hurting him, but he showed no emotion in his face. "You got lucky. It was close to your bone." He said getting the tweasers in making sure not to grab any muscles and ripped hard. He got the bullet out with no problem.

message 155: by Lara (last edited Mar 09, 2014 04:27PM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments The boy was sweating, and didn't think of himself as very lucky, the wound had already caused him more pain than he wanted in a lifetime. He spat out the cloth and nodded to Drayven, "Thanks." He said honestly. "Don't know what I'm going to do now, what with all the police swarming our land. You don't have any idea why, do you?" he asked, only mildly interested. He didn't figure anyone knew, but he was curious.

message 156: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven shook his head, starting to bandage up the smaller boy. "Wish I did. Could get the news around and tell people what to do." He sighed. "They're going to have to fall back though. They can't hold off the gangs, they'll rip them to shreds just like they did when that little girl went missing." He looked up at him. "There's an abandoned apartment down the street. It's furnished and it's on the outskirts. You'll be safe there." he sighed, "And if you see anyone else, tell them about that place too. We don't want anyone out on the streets."

message 157: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments The boy nodded, contemplating his advice. "Ok. Thanks. I'll let the others know about the place. It'll probably come in handy pretty soon." He stood slowly, testing his leg. Smiling grimly he began to walk to the door again. "Thanks for helping me out, and for the advice." He said briefly before leaving Drayven again and hobbling off down the street towards the apartment building.

message 158: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments ((I'ma stab my computer. It has been having trouble posting. GAHHH bad computer. Or bad internet.))

Drayven watched the boy go, getting up and locking the door after him. He walked back into the room and looked down to her. He picked her up and put her on the bed again. "They're trying to get to the center of the gang zone." He smirked rolling his eyes. "The army might try and get through the gangs but once they get closer to the heart they' be killed. They're idiots."

message 159: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Aww, I've wanted to stab my computer before too... multiple times XP I hope you don't mind me re-posting like that :P ))

Lexi frowned slightly, "The army?" Her voice was somewhat high-pitched, "They sent out the whole army?" She straightened and winced a bit as her stitches pulled. She tried to calm down a bit. "Who was it at the door?"

message 160: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments ((I don't. As long as you don't do it if I don't respond after just an hour. Or just put a dot. Gosh, that pisses me off when people do that. And you've been repostiing to my liking, just a reminder and stuff and seeing if I'm on. Just a dot shows a bit of hostility and stuff in my opinion. :P))

"Calm down. I'm sure he was just over reacting." He rolled his eyes, "Sometimes that happens when you get shot." He sighed putting her on the bed and making sure she was calming down. He pushed hair away from her eyes, "It's okay. Those people that were.... in there are killers anyways."

message 161: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Makes sense :) Yeah, just doing random stuff is annoying. Especially just periods and question marks etc. >.< I usually try to wait a day to re-post, unless I know you're on, then I wait at least a couple hours :) ))

Lexi nodded slowly. Her heart was still beating frantically, but she was slowly calming down. "Are you sure they won't get me? They wont come here... right?" She desperately wanted him to assure her that that was true, even though she knew deep down that there was no way to be one hundred percent sure about it. "They won't take me back?"

message 162: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments ((I have been reduced to one hand again. I shall reply tomorrow when my hand is not asking for my head.night!))

message 163: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Ok. g'night :) Hope your hand gets better soon))

message 164: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments ((Me too))

Drayven sighed, "Not if I can help it." He promised and that one was true. "And they shouldn't come here, just injured people are going to." He said shrugging. He was used to this though. He didn't know what really to do. "We'll be laying low for awhile now."

message 165: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded slowly, she remembered what he had said about helping out injured guys. That meant that she would have to do a lot of hiding in the closet. She sighed and looked at the bed sheets, "We just have to make it through the next two weeks, after that, the hype should die down and they wont try as hard to get me back." She assumed, remembering something one of the scientists had said when she was at the labs.

message 166: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded, sighing softly. "A lot of people are going to be coming in. I just hope I can help them all." He shrugged sighing. He looked over at her, smiling, "For now on I'll just close my door so you don't have to keep getting up and hiding. Much more comfortable too."

message 167: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi smiled, nodding slowly. "Thanks." She looked around the room for a moment, as if searching for something to say. She looked back at him. "Why are you doing this?" She asked softly, "You've been really nice to me, and I can't figure out why." She admitted to him, "There's nothing in this for you, and you could end up getting hurt because of me." She reminded him, searching his eyes for any sign of emotion.

message 168: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven was amazing at hiding his emotions. He hated showing them because he felt like they were a weakness for him. He shrugged, "You need help. There's nothing in it for me when I help the guys out besides them keeping off my case and doing what I tell them to." He explained. "It's the right thing to do. And when you're in this neighborhood, it's kinda like a family even though a lot of us are dangerous and sometimes don't care who they're killing. But even the killers help out when there's a great pain...." He shrugged. "I just feel right doing it for you."

message 169: by Lara (last edited Mar 11, 2014 06:22AM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((We need to have something happen in this plot. :P But what???))

Lexi looked down at her hands, thinking about that for a long while. He sounded sincere, and it did sound like a likely answer. It was weird to think that even killers would help each other out every once in a while. She nodded in response to him. Lexi believed she could trust Drayven, because he had already protected her in the face of authority. But she wasn't sure how long they would last here. People were out there right now, trying to find her. Lexi shuddered slightly at that thought. She hated being scared, and she hated others knowing that she was, so when she blurted "I'm scared." She almost slapped herself. But it was too late to take the words back. She looked down, embarrassed, and tried to act like it never happened.

message 170: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Hey :) I've just started March Break. Do you have a break this week as well?))

message 171: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments ((YOU LUCKY SOUL! I don't. My school wasn't open yesterday because of the end of the tri and now it's closed today because of the heater breaking. HAHA! And I don't know what to do. o.o))

Drayven looked over at her, his eyebrows furrowed in a bit of worry. He put his arms around her, bringing her closer to him as he hugged her, still careful. "I know...." He whispered. "We can dye your hair if you want." He said raising his eyebrow. "That will help hide your ginger locks." He smiled stroking her slightly tangled hair. He'd help her brush it the next morning. He smiled a bit, "Get you into that new clothing and so forth."

message 172: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Aw... but it is nice when you get a day off for a school malfunction :P I almost wish our heater would break down more often... XP And I totally understand about not knowing what to do, I'm just sitting here staring at my laptop :P Hey, and in this rp are we going to be mean to our characters and get them captured soon, or just leave them to run away endlessly and fall in love? Or neither...))

Lexi leaned against him slightly, not sure if that would come across as awkward, or all right, but she did it anyways. It felt right to her. "That would help a lot I think." She said slowly, nodding. "I think my little head of flames is what gives me away..." she said with a wry smile. "I've never dyed my hair before though. Not really sure how to do it." Never the less, she was excited about getting a new look. It made her feel like she was in a thriller movie, where people had to change disguises constantly.

message 173: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments ((When they get captured instead of doing what they were origionally going to have her do is they start doing experiments on Drayven. Then, they have two different genders with different powers, because they'd give Drayven something different because his body would die if they did what they did to her on. Then they want the two of them to mate to see if they could get an infant with both powers in them or to see which power was dominant. But, before they can do anything, they had to give Drayven something that he could use to break both of them out. But then it's to late and she's already pregnant, and yada yada they have to take care of a super human child! Imagine the horror of those poor parents! O.O

But first they run away and stuff and fall in love because yeah. *Nods*

And that was all just off the top of my head. X3))

Drayven smiled, "We can change it any color you want." He said with a smile continuing to stroke her hair. He liked her hair a lot. He smiled, liking she was leaning into him. He hadn't had someone care for him or depend on him so much before. Sure, people needed him, but that was a different story.

message 174: by Lara (last edited Mar 11, 2014 12:34PM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Wow.... *slow clap* that was beautiful! Lol. Sounds great! poor characters, they have no idea what's coming XD We could also shove them into a war, if other countries find out about them and decide they want them :P))

Lexi nodded, thinking. Her hair was already a fairly light color, so blonde would not be much of a difference. She would have to choose a dark color to look even remotely different. She looked up at Drayven for a second. Black hair looked really good on him, so why not on her? "Could we dye it black? No one would recognize me then..." She felt slightly embarrassed to be looking at him, and she looked down again. She didn't know what was going on with her stomach just then, but it wasn't something she had felt before.

message 175: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments ((YES! YES YES YES! The other country saves them! GERMANY! Send them to Germany or to London! OH MY GOD YES! The child will have a pleasant experience in London. :3))

Drayven smiled down at her, "Yeah. once you're better though, you have to bend to get your hair in a sink." He laughed lightly. He knew she was looking at him, not really knowing why, but it made his heart hammer in his chest. He laid back down with her after covering her up. He was ontop of the sheets like he said he would be so it wasn't uncomfortable. "And like I said, I'll protect you. I promise."

message 176: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((*bows* Glad I could be of service. Lol. I am seriously so excited for this XP))

Lexi nodded slowly, managing a smile. She felt like a rubber-ball was bouncing around frantically inside of her chest. Drayven sounded so sincere. Nobody had ever made a promise to her and kept it before. Her whole life had been a bunch of lies. And yet here was someone who actually sounded like they meant it. Lexi tried to cover up the emotions flying around inside of her, "You don't know how much that means to me." She whispered, locking eyes with him for a moment.

message 177: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven's eyes connected with hers, gulping a bit and nodding. "No problem...." He said softly. He had an idea what it meant since he wasn't able to depend on anyone to protect him. But that was fine, that's what made him who he was today and that was just fine. Now he can protect her, and he liked feeling like he had a purpose.

message 178: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi smiled over at him, shifting her head a bit on the pillow. "G'night." She whispered, allowing her lids to slowly close. After countless nights of trying to sleep with one eye open, it felt so nice to just relax and drift off into an oblivion. Lexi smiled a bit in her sleep, as she was too tired even to get any nightmares.

message 179: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded watching her as she fell asleep. He thought about going into the living room to sleep but wanted to be here if she had a nightmare. He couldn't move though, he was exhausted as well and passed out after a few seconds.

message 180: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi's eyes blinked open to morning sunlight and she yawned. She was rested and felt good, but something was different. Then it dawned on her. "I didn't have any nightmares!" She whispered mostly to herself. She sat up in bed and winced a little from the sudden movement. Reaching her hand around to her back, she felt the stitches through her bandage. She looked down at Drayven, "How much longer am I stuck with these stitches?" She whispered, not able to tell if he was awake or asleep still.

message 181: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven groaned when she whispered, "It's to.... to early...." He tugged her arm gently. "Lay back down.... you were blocking the sun....." He didn't hear her question, well, he did but he didn't process the question. He was only awake enough to tell her to sleep more and block the sun.

message 182: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi rolled her eyes and allowed him to tug her back down onto the pillow. She had been used to so little sleep, that this felt like sleeping in to her, and she was wide awake. She couldn't close her eyes and go back to sleep even if she wanted to. So instead, she just lay there quietly, lost in thought for a moment. Then she realized that she had zoned out, staring directly at Drayven. She blushed and grinned a little, trying to hold back a laugh. She didn't want to wake him, but he looked so different when he was sleeping. It was the only time ever that he didn't have an intimidating aura.

message 183: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven looked like just an ordinary teenager when he was sleeping, calm, not angry, not protective, just calm, maybe even happy. He loved sleeping his life away, taking all the pain away, all the responsibility. Sleeping was the one thing he looked forward to and had looked forward to for many many years. He didn't wake for another few hours, grunting as he did. He moved his shoulders, his hand moving a bit, finding its way to her stomach. He didn't notice at first though, his eyes not even open yet.

message 184: by Lara (last edited Mar 11, 2014 08:09PM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi stiffened, but she didn't push his hand away. She relaxed after a couple of seconds, watching him to try and see whether or not he was awake and doing that on purpose, or still asleep. She couldn't deny the fluttering feeling she got in her stomach as he touched her. Do I like him? She wondered, shaking her head slightly, That's not possible. I don't like people, I run from them. I can't trust anyone... She paused. But you can trust him... A little voice in her head told her. She blushed a deep red.

message 185: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven didn't really open his eyes until there was an urgent banging on the door. He jumped, not even noticing his hand because it moved. He looked through the hall. "Already?" He asked jumping up and shutting the door behind him. He was greeted by two guys holding a very injured guy. "You know the drill." He said.

This guy was pretty banged up, so it took him longer than usual to get him all in one piece again, stitches, popping bones back in place. A lot of work.

message 186: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi sat on the bed, her eyes wide. She knew it was just some boy coming for help, but every scream from the other room caused her to jump a little. She had been through a lot, and had grown very used to the sounds of her own scream, but listening to someone else in pain was another matter. She clutched the bed sheets to her chest, her eyes wide, wincing whenever there was any sound from Drayven's patient.

message 187: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven got out once he finished up with the guys. He sighed, "Sit here for a few minutes or until you can get up. Is things getting that bad in the circle?"

The one that was broken up didn't say anything, just bit his lip at the pain.

Drayven looked at the rest of them, "When you leave there's an abandoned plac-"

"We know. We were heading there through what we thought was a safe way out of the circle when the greens got us."

"Greens?"

"The men that are fighting the gangs." He sighed. "It's getting bad. So bad both gangs have agreed to hold off their own wars just to fight off the greens."

Drayven was shocked, "Just go along this road." He said. "And it shouldn't take long, even with him. Just make sure he keeps that propped up and give him any pain meds you can get a hold of. The outer ring is safe so you'll be okay.

message 188: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi could hear voices in the other room now, and no more screaming, so she figured Drayven had finished helping whoever had shown up. She got up stiffly and moved to the wall, leaning her ear against it to try and hear what was said. The voices were still muffled, and she couldn't not understand what they were saying, so she sighed and walked back to the bed, trusting that Drayven would tell her if it was something important.

message 189: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven helped the guys out, waving as he let them take a few things of food. He brought some to Lexi, sighing softly. "Apparently both of the opposing gangs are going to help out to drive the greens off. Aka, the army." He sighed. "There's going to be a war. But we'll be safe."

message 190: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi took some of the food he offered her, chewing it thoughtfully. She swallowed hard at his words, the food suddenly tasting dry and tasteless in her mouth. She coughed and tried to keep composure, "So it's getting bad then." She said quietly, suddenly not hungry any more.

message 191: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments He shrugged, "Things are always bad around here." He said with a shrug. "The gang wars happen every five years, so this won't be much different." He took a bite of his apple. "When you live here, you'll get used to having this stuff happen once in awhile."

message 192: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded. She didn't know how he did it, acting so calm. It was like nothing ever bothered him. It made her stronger though, to know that at least one of them wasn't the least bit scared. She decided to change the subject and try not to think too much about the army coming after her, "So, how long am I stuck with stitches?" she asked, smiling a little.

message 193: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded, taking a few more bites, not knowing how much of a difference he was making in her being comfortable. He yawned a bit, stretching his arms out. "A few weeks. Two at the most. I'll take um out, then you'll have to clean it and bandage it up. Well, I'll do it." He said, "They'll be sore for a few days but you'll get used to it."

message 194: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded. Two weeks was a long time to not be allowed to bend at all. She could barely do anything without pulling them by accident. "Ok." She said nodding, thinking about it. "Shouldn't we try to dye my hair earlier than then?" She was worried that she would be found before two weeks were up. "I'm sure we can find someway for me to get my head in the sink without bending too much. Oh, and speaking of, do you have a shower I could use sometime soon?" She asked, somewhat awkwardly. Though she knew it was probably gross, she had not had a shower in a while, and was dying to get cleaned up.

message 195: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded, "Well, you'll stitches won't be as tender in a week and you can actually do more. Kinda like a broken bone. Gets easier to do stuff over time." He smiled. "And of course I have a shower, just in the bathroom."

message 196: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded in response to his comment about the stitches. At his last comment though, she smiled and looked at the ground somewhat awkwardly. She knew he had a shower, she was more asking if she could use it. She took his answer as a yes. "I'll just be a couple of minutes." She told him and quickly grabbed the bag of clothes he had got her, heading towards the bathroom.

message 197: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded, watching her get up. "Do you need help getting in?" He asked. He was just being considerate, but he knew that that could be taken in a multitude of ways. He bit his lip, "E-er just call if you need anything...."

message 198: by Lara (last edited Mar 14, 2014 09:59AM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded and rushed to the bathroom, the heat flooding her cheeks. She bit her lip and smiled a little, shutting the bathroom door after her. She didn't lock the door, just in case. Turning on the water, she let it warm up a little as she got undressed. She stared at herself in the mirror and a smile cracked her features. She didn't know what he had meant by that statement, but she didn't think too long about it either.

Getting into the shower, she just stood there for a couple of seconds, letting the hot water run through her hair and over her body. It felt so good. She broke out of the trance and immediately began washing herself with a bar of soap. It slipped out of her hands and skidded across the bottom of the shower. Lexi sighed and tried to bend and get it without pulling her stitches too much. She balance herself against the walls and leaned over, trying to reach it. Her finger brushed the soap right before she slipped. She shrieked as her head came in contact with the shower floor and black spots clouded her vision, all her muscles relaxing.

((She's so clumsy! :P ))

message 199: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven was up and running when he heard her start to fall over, wondering what the heck she could have already done. When he got into the bathroom, he knew what he'd fine and she wouldn't be the first girl he had seen naked, he took care of a lot that came in with injuries. He reached in, picking her up from the water that was starting to get a bit deeper since her hand had been on the drain. He was glad he got in there when he did or she might have been in bigger trouble. There was slightly some blood in the water since she had pulled on the stitches. He pulled her out, setting her on a towel and wrapping her up so she wasn't exposed. She had a very beautiful body, but he didn't look to long because he wasn't a pervert.

message 200: by Lara (last edited Mar 15, 2014 11:50AM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi winced when she came to, not opening her eyes yet. She reached up and hand and gingerly felt a bump on her head where she had hit the shower floor. It hurt, but the pounding headache it had caused hurt worse. Her stitches felt like they were on fire as well. I must have pulled them.
Then Lexi stiffened, realizing that she couldn't feel water anymore, and she wasn't in the shower. That meant... Lexi's eyes snapped open and she lifted her head up to look around. It took a second for her vision to clear, but when it did her face went beet red. Drayven was there... Lexi groaned inwardly and leaned her head back again. There wasn't much she could do about it now. He was here, and that meant he had seen her. Normally she would have tried to scramble away from him or run out of the washroom and hide, but right now she was too in pain to move at all and embarrassed beyond belief.
