Drayven watched the boy go, getting up and locking the door after him. He walked back into the room and looked down to her. He picked her up and put her on the bed again. "They're trying to get to the center of the gang zone." He smirked rolling his eyes. "The army might try and get through the gangs but once they get closer to the heart they' be killed. They're idiots."

Lexi frowned slightly, "The army?" Her voice was somewhat high-pitched, "They sent out the whole army?" She straightened and winced a bit as her stitches pulled. She tried to calm down a bit. "Who was it at the door?"

"Calm down. I'm sure he was just over reacting." He rolled his eyes, "Sometimes that happens when you get shot." He sighed putting her on the bed and making sure she was calming down. He pushed hair away from her eyes, "It's okay. Those people that were.... in there are killers anyways."

Lexi nodded slowly. Her heart was still beating frantically, but she was slowly calming down. "Are you sure they won't get me? They wont come here... right?" She desperately wanted him to assure her that that was true, even though she knew deep down that there was no way to be one hundred percent sure about it. "They won't take me back?"

Drayven sighed, "Not if I can help it." He promised and that one was true. "And they shouldn't come here, just injured people are going to." He said shrugging. He was used to this though. He didn't know what really to do. "We'll be laying low for awhile now."

Lexi looked down at her hands, thinking about that for a long while. He sounded sincere, and it did sound like a likely answer. It was weird to think that even killers would help each other out every once in a while. She nodded in response to him. Lexi believed she could trust Drayven, because he had already protected her in the face of authority. But she wasn't sure how long they would last here. People were out there right now, trying to find her. Lexi shuddered slightly at that thought. She hated being scared, and she hated others knowing that she was, so when she blurted "I'm scared." She almost slapped herself. But it was too late to take the words back. She looked down, embarrassed, and tried to act like it never happened.

Drayven looked over at her, his eyebrows furrowed in a bit of worry. He put his arms around her, bringing her closer to him as he hugged her, still careful. "I know...." He whispered. "We can dye your hair if you want." He said raising his eyebrow. "That will help hide your ginger locks." He smiled stroking her slightly tangled hair. He'd help her brush it the next morning. He smiled a bit, "Get you into that new clothing and so forth."

Lexi leaned against him slightly, not sure if that would come across as awkward, or all right, but she did it anyways. It felt right to her. "That would help a lot I think." She said slowly, nodding. "I think my little head of flames is what gives me away..." she said with a wry smile. "I've never dyed my hair before though. Not really sure how to do it." Never the less, she was excited about getting a new look. It made her feel like she was in a thriller movie, where people had to change disguises constantly.

But first they run away and stuff and fall in love because yeah. *Nods*
And that was all just off the top of my head. X3))
Drayven smiled, "We can change it any color you want." He said with a smile continuing to stroke her hair. He liked her hair a lot. He smiled, liking she was leaning into him. He hadn't had someone care for him or depend on him so much before. Sure, people needed him, but that was a different story.

Lexi nodded, thinking. Her hair was already a fairly light color, so blonde would not be much of a difference. She would have to choose a dark color to look even remotely different. She looked up at Drayven for a second. Black hair looked really good on him, so why not on her? "Could we dye it black? No one would recognize me then..." She felt slightly embarrassed to be looking at him, and she looked down again. She didn't know what was going on with her stomach just then, but it wasn't something she had felt before.

Drayven smiled down at her, "Yeah. once you're better though, you have to bend to get your hair in a sink." He laughed lightly. He knew she was looking at him, not really knowing why, but it made his heart hammer in his chest. He laid back down with her after covering her up. He was ontop of the sheets like he said he would be so it wasn't uncomfortable. "And like I said, I'll protect you. I promise."

Lexi nodded slowly, managing a smile. She felt like a rubber-ball was bouncing around frantically inside of her chest. Drayven sounded so sincere. Nobody had ever made a promise to her and kept it before. Her whole life had been a bunch of lies. And yet here was someone who actually sounded like they meant it. Lexi tried to cover up the emotions flying around inside of her, "You don't know how much that means to me." She whispered, locking eyes with him for a moment.

This guy was pretty banged up, so it took him longer than usual to get him all in one piece again, stitches, popping bones back in place. A lot of work.

The one that was broken up didn't say anything, just bit his lip at the pain.
Drayven looked at the rest of them, "When you leave there's an abandoned plac-"
"We know. We were heading there through what we thought was a safe way out of the circle when the greens got us."
"Greens?"
"The men that are fighting the gangs." He sighed. "It's getting bad. So bad both gangs have agreed to hold off their own wars just to fight off the greens."
Drayven was shocked, "Just go along this road." He said. "And it shouldn't take long, even with him. Just make sure he keeps that propped up and give him any pain meds you can get a hold of. The outer ring is safe so you'll be okay.

Getting into the shower, she just stood there for a couple of seconds, letting the hot water run through her hair and over her body. It felt so good. She broke out of the trance and immediately began washing herself with a bar of soap. It slipped out of her hands and skidded across the bottom of the shower. Lexi sighed and tried to bend and get it without pulling her stitches too much. She balance herself against the walls and leaned over, trying to reach it. Her finger brushed the soap right before she slipped. She shrieked as her head came in contact with the shower floor and black spots clouded her vision, all her muscles relaxing.
((She's so clumsy! :P ))

Then Lexi stiffened, realizing that she couldn't feel water anymore, and she wasn't in the shower. That meant... Lexi's eyes snapped open and she lifted her head up to look around. It took a second for her vision to clear, but when it did her face went beet red. Drayven was there... Lexi groaned inwardly and leaned her head back again. There wasn't much she could do about it now. He was here, and that meant he had seen her. Normally she would have tried to scramble away from him or run out of the washroom and hide, but right now she was too in pain to move at all and embarrassed beyond belief.
