Hello all!

The time has come to choose your book selections for your September read in the PIFM challenge.

The rules are:-

* You can choose any number of books. A minimum of two and up to a maximum of 10.

* Please, only ONE MESSAGE per member. That means NO REPLYING or CHATTING in this thread.

* Once you have made your selections and posted, when your votes start to come in you can then add your votes cast by other members beneath your book titles ie. the following might be how my list would look:-

The Ties That Bind - Erin Kelly
x 1 - Christine

Hidden - Emma Kavanagh
x 1 - Sue
x 1 - Pat

How you post is your choice, you can link, do pictures, the above is just an example. The key is that you stick with the one message and update it as the votes come in. Your list can be placed when the September threads go up.

PIFM is meant to be FUN and not to be taken seriously. I would appreciate it if all participants just chilled and not get worked up about voting, who votes, who doesn't, etc. Please bear in mind that some will just want to vote, many don't come on everyday and most of us have time constraints. I just want a relaxed approach to it all and for you all to just enjoy the process! I'd really appreciate your courtesy in this matter. Thanks.

Kirsten (kmcripn) | 8101 comments Yippee!! As I've mentioned in another thread, I've decided for September my theme is going to be "books I probably should've read in school but somehow graduated without actually reading them"

Great Expectations by Charles Dickens - I was assigned this one, but only read the first 5 chapters and still got an "A" on my essay.
2 votes - Faouzia, Kimberley

Hiroshima by John Hersey - How I got away without reading this one is beyond me. Every other class seemed to be reading it my Junior year and I live right next door (same county) as the facility that produced the plutonium for it.
1 vote - Amber

The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway - For some reason, I didn't read any Hemingway in high school. Though, my sister - 3 years younger than me - read this one.
1 vote - Perri

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
2 votes - Brenda, Agnieszka

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald - Modern American Lit read this, but I took Basic American Lit
3 votes - Dana, Sophie, Daisy

Lord of the Flies by William Golding - same as Gatsby
2 votes - Patricia, Sean

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut - I don't think this is the Vonnegut I have read. I read the one with ice-9.
4 votes - Mallory Heart, Lisa, Stefanie, Mandy
