Good Earth was quite good, actually, if you can get past the rage the husband MIGHT inspire. And it was a bit of a paeon to capitalism in the "whistle while we work" vein. But all in all, a good and satisfying read.

I hope you got it!

If you do that, do you have to write a book about it???

NO, you don't have to wait until you finish the book :). (It's sometimes easier to write 'em down as you go. Especially if you read multiple books at a time. You risk forgetting one of your collected items if you don't ;-). )

Also: woohooo! on the robin! I hear ya on SPRING! (Maine here, winter's getting ooooolllldddd already!), and, you're welcome! :D

Julia, ahhh, I didn't pick up The Good Earth on the Kindle Daily Deal that day, but now I sorta wish I did! Also: lol on the coffee cup and Kenny G! I'm also getting quite annoyed with my elusive baseball from Board One. BTW, you do not have to finish one board, before starting to collect on the other. You can do multiple boards at the same time, kinda 'bingo boards' style!

And, Connie, lol~~~~~~ that would be a unique book, I'm thinking :D

MK (wisny) | 2579 comments MK wrote: "Goblet! Snagged it :)"

omgosh .... I forget which book :p.

Edit: based on my status updates, it's likely to be in one of these books:

The Yiddish Policemen's Union, by Michael Chabon
The Poems of Doctor Zhivago, Kayden edition
The Poems of Doctor Zhivago Pasternak's poems translated into English verse with an introduction and a commentary showing the significance of each poem for the novel as a whole, Davie edition
Life, the Universe and Everything, by Douglas Adams
Ireland, by Frank Delaney
Three Dirty Women and the Garden of Death, by Julie Wray Herman
Z for Zachariah, by Robert C. O'Brien

... not a one of which is on kindle, so I can't search. Two of them have been returned to the library, too :/.

Oh, well! A-goblet hunting I must go, I suppose :D

edit! Found it again - it was in Ireland :)

Heheheehe .... :D. Glad I'm stymie-ing you a little, Apoorv! You are tearing thru the boards, collecting all the hunt items SUPER fast! Well done!!!

I'm going to have to see if I can get some of our many new members to throw down some new items for the hunt. :-)

Edit: I invited all the new members to raise the bar on the difficulty level, and add new items to collect (ahahaha! :-) )

Hehe, I am truly truly loving this ! Now I read my books with more concentration and end up finding them. Also, in this regard, reading on a Kindle helps at times, coz you can search for an item if you happen to miss it. :)

Absolutely, Amy! Any books completed in 2014 count. You can go all the way back to Jan 1st, if your memory is up to the task *grin*.

Both BOARDS are open to new hunters. Only BOARD TWO is open to new items being added to the tally sheets tho, and in fact, if you'd add two new items to be collected, we scavengers would be most grateful! :D

Welcome to the hunt! :)

Blueberry (blueberry1) Question: In the book I'm reading, a character says something about a rainbow...something like "finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow". But it is not a rainbow he see's. Does that count? It wasn't the item only the word.
