I'm intrigued to find out the Darkling's name... which do you think is his name?
I bet for Grigori!

I agree to some extent. Grigori seems like it would be a good Ravkan name, and also, Grisha is a diminutive for the name Grigory. It sort of fits that the Darkling would name his army after himself, but not quite. I also have some ideas on who his father is, but I have to make sense of them before I can actually consider them valid theories.

Like ALEKSANDER, which seems fitting in its own way, because it means defender of men.

What if it's something like, ARISTARKH? That means great ruler. :D

It could even be FILIPP which means, lover of horses lol. But then that seems way too Prince charming to me, and thats not like the Darkling at all.

It could be Gavril or Gideon which means, Warrior of God/Mighty warrior.

It could even be KAZIMIR, which means He commands peace.

Oh man, it could be MAKSIMILIAN (Maximilian), which means The Greatest Rival. But man, that name reminds me of Maximilian Robespierre and that is NOT the best allusion.

STEFAN is also an idea, which mean Crown.

VIKINTI or VIKTOR too, which mean Conqueror.

VLADIMIR, like WR said, which means To Rule.

I also like ALEKSANDER but according to LG, this scene will be really special so maybe his name has been already quoted in the two first book - You know all the stories about myth and the amplifier - and may this way explain a lot of things - the darkling motivates ? His long-life ? ...
