2014 March Pick-It-For-Me! Challenge
Hey, Breann! Just finished my first pick, Ball & Chain. Obviously, the gut instinct is to love it because of Ty and Zane, and for that alone I do love it, and then you put Nick and Kelly into it and that gives you all the more reason to love it . . . yet, I'm a mixed bag of emotions with this one. I've settled for 3.5 ★ for now, but it's a rating that I'll be thinking about for a while.

Hi Shelby - I finished up my first pick - A Little Bit Country - I wasn't sure if I read it during LHNB, but after starting it I realized I had - so it was interesting seeing how the author developed the characters more fully from the short story - but I felt like it was a bit too angst/emotional driven in places, rather than a fully developed story (does that make sense?)
I'm listening to Visions in Death right now (ID #19) which is where I am in the series and liking it - Peabody makes me crack up
Hi Runell! I've finished my first pick Creed and I liked it but didn't love it. I gave it 3.5*.
I'm going to read Dance With Me next.

Glad you're enjoying your reads. I really enjoyed the changes she made to A Little Bit Country, but I think I know what you mean. :)
Hi Laurla! I finished Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night tonight and really liked it! Thanks for the picks! I need to get to books for other challenges, but maybe at the end of the month I will have more time.
Ezi, I finished
and
. Loved them both. I don't think I would have read Try had you not pushed me too. I enjoyed it, though I think Logan is very pushy and wants people to always do as he wishes. Even when it comes to Tate. He uses sex for everything he needs. To apologise, or to get out of something. I'm looking forward to the next book.
Oops- meant to address this to Suzanne!I just finished my third pick for the month, definitely a five-star read!
Thanks for the great recs! Next I am on to Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men and Firefly Lane. I hope to finish them and maybe even one more.
I hope your reading is going well this month!
Sallie(Shuga)Finished
this morning. There were a few times I felt the author maneuvering the story in order to place characters where she wanted them, but overall I liked the book.
I finished M is for Magic today (3/13). Although short stories are not my favorite thing to read I did find several of the stories very enjoyable. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hi PamI finished reading
and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the pick. If I can find the time I plan on reading
.
Penney--I just finished my first PIFM book this month, Amazon Lily
and loved it. I read it in a day! Theresa Weir is great at creating depth in her characters and showing the difference between what is said and what is felt. I think that you mentioned that you hadn't read other books of hers--I would highly Weir's memoir The Orchard, in which covers the period of her life before and during the time that she wrote this book, her first. Thanks for the recommendation, I've been meaning to get to this one for awhile.

In fact, the most recent ones I read in a day because I just wanted to find out what happened. The author fleshes out her characters must more as the books continue, and also includes new ones who add to the fun. Of course, there is always that 'suspension-of-disbelief' that the characters could get themselves in so much trouble, but as in any series like this, if you can put up with that, then the series is a delightful read.
hi, deei finished Sacrificial Magic and Faro's Daughter. "faro's daughter" wasn't my favourite heyer, but i still enjoyed it. i really liked "sacrificial magic" and felt that the story was continued well. i'll be reading Nothing Personal, Running the Red Light and Dirty Trick in the next day or so.
Hello Rachel,I just finished by second pick The Dark Descendent by Jenna Black and gave it 3 stars. I liked it but wish it had more romance. I couldnt tell who she would end up with. So I had to read the second book right away and was a little disapointed with her choice. I dont think I could ever have a relationship with a guy who beat me up twice.
Victoria,I finished Whitney, My Love yesterday and I gave it 3 stars. I really loved the first 600 pages of the book and was prepared to give it 5 stars...but that last misunderstanding and the resulting childish behavior really irritated me! I still enjoyed it and I am glad that I finally read it. I have been meaning to read it for a few years, so thanks for the rec.
I hope to fit in Allegiant this month as well!!!
I hope that you are enjoying your books this month! :)

Penney--I just finished my second PIFM book this month,
and really liked it. Thanks for the great recommendation, I will definitely be reading more of this author and series.

I am glad you tried Try:D

I'd rather Mercy stick with Adam only. I don't want any triangles and threesomes in this series with the main couple.
I finished
I loved it too. Especially Eveline. She was so feisty, fierce and determined. It was hard not to love and admire her.
Aarati wrote: "Ezinwanyi~still loves Spartacus wrote: "Aarati wrote: "Ezi, I finished

Re Mercy: I truly don't want a triangle either, but somehow I want Mercy to love Stefan back. I guess it's the underdog in me because i know Adam is the One. I know but I want Stefan to have Mercy's love too
I am glad you are enjoying the recs.

While reading this book I wasn't feeling so violent, but damn a week after it, I really do want to smack Adam. Guys are just so stupid sometimes.
Aarati,Mercy had to learn how to deal with Christy on her own. What bothered me was the pack attitude towards Mercy
Ezinwanyi~still loves Spartacus wrote: "Aarati,Mercy had to learn how to deal with Christy on her own. What bothered me was the pack attitude towards Mercy"
I wasn't surprised about that. The pack has always treated Mercy like an unwanted guest. No matter how much she does for them. I won't be surprised if they go against her again. But I did wish Adam had stuck up for Mercy at least once.

yesterday and I LOVED IT!considering that the Elder Races is hit or miss for me, this one was a huge hit. I loved Aryal & Quentin.
Thank you!!
hi, dee.i finished
and i absolutely adored it. if the third one is even better...oh, joy! also finished
and enjoyed that one, too. i liked how the disability was portrayed, and that she didn't let it stop her.
...i wanted to like it, but both characters just seemed so juvenile to me.i'm still planning on reading In the Garden of Temptation, Marked, The Art of Fielding and Southern Fried Blues sometime before the end of this month.
Hi Suzanne,I finished my 4th pick for the month,
, and even though I am not a big fan of vampire fiction, I enjoyed this one because I love Molly Harper's writing and sense of humor. I also liked the romance parts of the plot. Thanks again for such good recs. It has been a while since I have read this many picks in one month!

I'm happy you enjoyed it. I need to get caught up on the series, but I keep putting off reading

It was ok. Rune's book almost made me quit the series. But it rebounded nicely. go ahead and read it so you can catch up!

recommendation. I finished it this morning and really enjoyed it. I'm definitely going to look into other books by this author.
Ezi, I finished
too and I couldn't help myself so I read
too. Thanks for the pick. Now I'm going to stop reading your recs or else I'll never get anything else done. Thanks for the awesome recs Ezi! xoxo

Hi Jaime! I finished
early this morning and loved it! I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book because I really didn't like Aryal in the earlier books. She was just so...so...harpyish. But I fell in love with her, Quentin and their unconventional relationship. Thanks for the push :-)

Penney--I just finished my third PIFM book this month,
and liked it. The plot was very inventive (although the characters hard to like at times). I liked that I couldn't always guess what was going to happen next. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hey Valerie,Finished my one and only pick for this month All The Wrong Reasons. It was a nice read.. I liked the chemistry between Irelyn and Lucas but I don't know why I kept feeling like this book was a badly written version of Thoughtless by SC Stephens.. It was good for a one time read..
Leslie, have just finished animal attraction and loved it cannot wait to continue in the series and see what happens to Adam. Thanks for the recommendations. Trying to decide which book to read next xxx
Kaileigh - I snuck in one last PIFM -
. Man, I was hoping this book would live up to its premise and cover. The writing was just too juvenile for me and the plot went kaput. Oh well, at least I got it off my TBR. :)Fran - I read
. I liked it, too! It was refreshingly different. I'm pretty sure I will continue with the series myself.

I finished Dark Witch by Nora Roberts and I gave it three stars! I enjoyed it but it reminded me so much of another witch trilogy that she wrote about 10 years ago that I couldn't help comparing and contrasting between the two while I was reading it.
