We're the C trio, girls."
bahahaha that has a sexy ring to it. Even if it kind of reminds me of C-3PO. I'm such a geek.
I can't even remember what my last erotic series was. I think it was the Songs of Submission series, which is amazing so this book has very large shoes to fill!

I didn't read songs of submission. The last one I read was dark duet and in my opinion it sucked ass

And my last erotic series was Songs of Submission, too!"
A girl after my own heart! I'm a huge Star Wars fan... even if the newer movies are more concerned with the cgi and the acting is average at best. The original story is so kickass it more than makes up for it, and who hasn't wanted to be a Jedi in their fantasy life?!
That's so awesome about the Songs of Submission Series! Jonathan Drazen is sex on a stick ;) It started out just ok for me but before long I was hooked. The sex was effing mindblowing!

Hey, C! LOL @ the Dark Duet being sucky. I actually agree. I read Captive in the Dark not long ago and was dissapointed after the massive hype. I hope this book makes up for it.
And then we gotta get you reading Songs of Submission ;) It's one of the best written erotic series I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

Oh and Songs of Submission is totally amazing... and read now because C.D.Reiss' next HUGE thing is coming really really soon!
Camaro knows.... bet her and fucking WON-hahahahaha mwah

I'm ready to start so
"
Just started a few minutes ago... and holy hell, I'm already ->

Oh, I can tell this one's gonna be good. *fingers crossed* So far it's got the perfect pace.
LOL... I totally lost that bet and it was the best thing ever. Losing never felt so good. *blows Wendy a kiss*

I like it when we all have different opinions about books.
Anyway, I'm starting now.
Hope it doesn't suck.

I can actually, understand why it was so popular. I think it was a case of too high expectations in my case. Hype can be a double edged sword. I do plan on reading Seduced in the Dark at some point. :p
13% already and came across this: "his green eyes dissapearing from sight..." WTH, weren't his eyes blue?

Besides, she said she had a good life, until she graduated and couldn't find a job. How can she be this disillusioned already?!

So credit cards in the us have nothing to do with the money in your bank account. If you pay at least the minimum balance ( which is only a small fraction of the total you used on it ) you develop good credit and can get more of them and can get authorized to be able to spend more. The amount you don't pay get left over for the following month and the user is charged interest on it.
They target college kids because they want to lock them in early in their spending so its easy for them to get it.

I've had iffy vibes from her as well. Im REALLY trying not to judge, but so far I'm not seeing much justification for her lifestyle. :/

Yaaaaa

If she had a good life where is her family

Oh thanks for the explanation!
At what point do they stop giving you credit and decide to collect the money you own them?
That's horrible and they'll probably never get back all the money people have spent, even if they took their houses.

Yeah. Call your parents or suck men off for a living.
Hard decision.

Yeah. Call your par..."
Or in this case... (view spoiler)

Yeah. C..."
I've read a couple of Erotica books with the MC being a prostitute, but the characterization was remarkably deep and well-delineated.
What we know about her is that she's been doing the stripper for three years, couldn't find a job after graduation and gladly sells her services to men.
I'd be furious to be forced to be a prostitute, to be surrounded by pigs. I can't understand how she'd find that particular man attractive. Because he's the younger and wealthier one?

Oh shit LOL... so far I'm hanging on. Where are you, Cam?"
14%: (view spoiler)

22%... and I'm beginning to soften towards her somewhat. We finally get at least some explanation about what has led her to this lifestyle. Try to get there... it fixes some of the issues we're having with her poor choices.

Still not convinced about it, though.

Sweet dreams, bella. I doubt I will finish it tonight, so I'm sure we'll converge tomorrow. I know what you mean, I'm still on the fence. I really hope the author revs the romance pretty soon!

Thank you, honey.
I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to discuss it further.
@Claudine: Good night for later, Claudine. Happy reading and have a nice evening.

You're ahead... still at 27% and only now picking it back up. Let's see how far I can get before blacking out for the day!

Ettie, I agree. I actually had the exact same term pop into my mind... "seedy" is a good description.

I see you're not completely enjoying it."
No worries, babe. When you do get a chance to come back to it, I'll be glad to hear your thoughts. It's actually very well written, despite my gripes with it. And to be honest, I am interested in seeing where it goes. I think my main problem lies with the fact that it doesn't seem to be an erotic romance as I expected. I would class this more as an erotic thriller. It does flow smoothly though, which is a bonus. I am intrigued at the whole mystery subplot.

You make it sound so interesting, honey.
I think I'll have more time tomorrow evening. But I'm glad it's not a total disaster for you, it's good to know you're having fun.

Kind of feel you on that! Ill hold him down
