Trisha | 30284 comments Here is our "chat room" for our Sixth readathon!

I will keep this open even though we haven't started the readathon so we can talk about the books we may want to read during the week of the readathon or to get excited and pumped for the readathon!

Have fun!

I think that I am THE number one confused/always messing up in the threads CRAZY reader, but everyone is always so sweet to help me out and no one has ever been rude or put me down. I love our group here...the mods are the ones that show us how to "behave" and they are all three SO awesome!

I'm in school, too...only I am the teacher. :o) So I know what you mean and your education comes first. That is truly the most important thing for you right now. Are you in college now? I see you are 18.

I might be able to take you on that. I have very poor memory in general. >.< I use Microsoft One Note to help me with my challenges and use the threads given to help me remember BR and what books I'm planning to read.

Strangely I read the most when I was in school. Sometimes as much as three books a day and they weren't always small. O.O Now I read less since I'm not as stressed.

I won't battle you for the title, but I also have a horrible memory. It is what it is and I am doing all that I can now to help my brain continue to grow and not become stagnant in my OLDer age! LOL

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) Jess wrote: "Are we starting on the 8th or 10th? I see different dates."

It depends on what timezone you're in. There are some who are starting on the 8th because they are farther ahead then the rest. I think some are even starting on the 11th because they are farther behind? Sorry, I always get confused with which is which. -.-

message 38: by Tashy (new)

Tashy Jones | 821 comments I'm in a strange day today. I don't want to start the readathon halfway through a book but finished my book last night so have a day of not reading. I dunno what to do with myself now

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Trisha wrote: "Just 3 days until we start! Yikes! I need to start gathering books! LOL"

Same! Hopefully I can get my hands on some graphic novels too. Just in case I start to feel slumpy!

message 40: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I'm excited to do another marathon, but I am not too confident about how much I can read. School is kicking my butt! LOL Mainly just due to teaching straight from 7:30-12:30 is emotionally draining as well as physically. But if you are a good teacher (and I am LOL) it is draining. Anyway I came home wiped out the past 2 days and fell asleep, and next Saturday the 15th I am going to a concert called Worship America with my daughter and her two older kids. It'll be so fun and uplifting!

But I will participate and do what I can! I'm excited for the camaraderie of that time!

message 41: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments no worries Vicki! Look forward to chatting when you can get here!

aww, the new schedule sounds like it's off to a rough start! hang in there, it'll get better.

message 42: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments I've opened the Mad Libs thread but I'll be on and off here all day today and tomorrow so I'll send your info as soon as I can :)

message 43: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 729 comments Trisha, I believe you mentioned another challenge for this readathon a couple of days ago. Will there be a thread for that as well?

message 44: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Thanks, Trisha! That is the "rough" part of my day, but I also have a 30 minute lunch and 90 minute prep, so no students for the last 2 hours of the day. :o) I'll get used to being back at work and not come home SO wiped out...I hope! LOL
