This is a book I read sometime between 95 and 00. I don't believe it was a new book at the time, it seemed older. For some reason I want to say it's an offshoot of an OZ book (Wizard of Oz, etc). In it, a young girl falls through the Earth and ends up in a weird land where everything is made of glass that grows on its own (skyscrapers and such). There are vegetable people who grow until they are "picked" from the garden and then go about their lives. The girl messes up somehow and is shut into a cave where she has to escape down a tunnel with talking dragons. The next world she ends up in is a place where everyone is invisible because of the food they eat (I think) and there are invisible bears that chase them. Then the girl ends up in a world where everyone is made of wood and it is completely silent - sounds hurt them instead of swords. They are bad and try to kill the girl and her friends. I don't remember what happens past that.
I have been looking for this book for years. I remember it gave me a very creepy vibe when I was younger and has always been in the back of my head. If you know this book and could tell me the name, I would be insanely grateful!!!
