Jo Carter I'm after an author to interview for my next newsletter. Preferably with a website/social media presence - I like to do research on the interviewee to personalise my questions.

My website is here: www.writerjocarter.com and although I can't offer very many followers on my actual blog or newsletter, I will be doing a lot of Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram advertising where I have more followers.

I'd like to mutually help each other. I am a writer myself and would like to post my social media presence with author interviews, which will help the author in turn by putting them out into the wide web.

I'll also be buying the author's book too!

You can comment on this post, or message me on Goodreads, or email me at joannaamycarter [at] gmail [dot] com

James Hockey (goodreadscomtriton) | 3 comments Hi Jo,
I'm the worlds worst and laziest user of social media and so always look for volunteers to carry the banner.
Thank you kindly for the offer whether you carry mine or not.
You will find me and my books on my website wyrdsisterspublishing.com or .co.uk.
The most comprehensive information is located by googling me as James M. Hockey where you will find volumes of information from other kindly interviewers and also on Linkedin. I am also a Goodreads author and so information and reviews are available there although I don't interact with Goodreads much anymore.

James Hockey (goodreadscomtriton) | 3 comments Hi Jo,

Here's a PS.
You don't need to buy my book(s) unless you really want to; you can get the flavour from the samples on my website or Amazon 'Look Inside'.

Will Once (willonce) | 32 comments I'm game ... but what kind of books do you like? I wouldn't want to force a genre on you that wasn't your cup of tea.

message 5: by Jo (new)

Jo Carter Hi Ellison, James & Will

Thank you very much for your responses, I really appreciate it, but I've decided to go with another author who emailed. I write newsletters quarterly, so I'll be back for more authors to interview :)

Jo

Ray Perreault (rayjayperreault) | 9 comments I'll keep an eye on this topic. I'm a indy Sci-Fi author and I agree we all need to work together to get our stories out. When you have another opportunity for a author to interview I'll throw my hat in the ring.

message 7: by Jo (new)

Jo Carter I agree Ray. Everyone needs to spread the word and promote and buy each other's works. It's a cycle.

I'll comment again on this post, when the time comes and search for more authors.

Speak to everyone there!

Nancy (indieeditornancy) | 32 comments Payne Hawthorne is one of my favorite paranormal authors she had several books out now. She is on facebook, tsu, pintrest etc.

Lisa Marbly-Warir | 16 comments Hi Jo, I think this is a nice idea. Don't know if my genre interests you-it's a clean romance novel from an african american pov. I am new to the published author world and am learning as i go along. Hopefully i will be doing my first radio interview later this month. Its one of my uncles ministry. You can find my book Destinee romance novella here on GR's. A sample chapter as well. Right now it is availble in e book form for .99 on Amazon and Smashwords.

Jo Carter Hi everyone! My Spring Newsletter went out last Saturday with an interview with T. H. Hernandez, but now I'd love to start looking for someone new for the Summer 2015-16 edition. I'll be giving everyone until the end of September to submit themselves, either via commenting on this post or emailing me at joannaamycarter@gmail.com - everyone who's already commented you don't have to comment again!

In regards to genre, I'm usually a YA reader, but if I find your novel's blurb oe the writing on your website engaging enough I have no issue with exploring other genres.

All I need is a link to your website/social media page where I can learn more about you.

Looking forward to meeting everyone :)

I will toss my hat into the ring. I'm a new author looking to be found, Here is my website. http://theflamebook.com It has plenty of the basics you may find helpful in your consideration of an interview. I had a team of friends and family who helped me and deserve to be recognized for thier work.

Kshitij | 4 comments I'm interest though I don't have a website.

message 14: by T.H. (new)

T.H. Hernandez (thhernandez) I highly encourage everyone to sign up. Jo asks some really thoughtful, unique questions!

message 15: by Jo (new)

Jo Carter Thanks to everyone for the responses so far! I'm having a great time reading blogs and book blurbs :)

And thank you to T. H. for the kind words!

Kshitij - do you have some kind of social media presence? Something that can tell me more about you. The reason my questions are thoughtful and unique (as T. H. said) is because I like to get to know the author I'm interviewing as much as possible. I am developing a standard list of questions I'll ask everyone, but I like to fit each questions to the author.

Looking forward to meeting more authors! :)

Kshitij | 4 comments I've FB page and twitter account, but I'm not very active.

message 17: by Jo (new)

Jo Carter That's a shame since you've got 80 followers on Twitter, but I guess Goodreads is enough social media :)

If you like, you can send me a bio of yourself and that will give me more information to help with my selection for my next newsletter.

Jenn Sadai | 19 comments Hi Jo,

I would love to be interviewed! My first book, Dark Confessions of an Extraordinary, Ordinary Woman was published in February 2014 and my second book goes to print next week. My Facebook page has over 3,400 followers and my Twitter account has over 750 followers. I will use both to promote your interview and newsletter. I am very active on social media. My website is currently being revamped, but should be back up mid-October.

I sincerely appreciate your consideration!

Jo Carter Hey everyone! First of all: Merry Christmas! :)

I'm doing my seasonal blast for an author to interview for my newsletter. The Autumn issue will be out in the first week of March 2016. You've got until the middle of January to comment and make yourself known. If you've already commented, don't worry! I've already got your details :)

The only correction I have to make is, I won't be buying everyone's book. Unfortunately my TBR pile has grown to an insane amount and I shudder to think of adding more to it.

As usual, I'll be doing blasts on my social media accounts to advertise the interview before March and the author I pick is welcome to do as much (or as little :) ) advertising as they see fit.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Here's the link to my last interview with Michael J. Brooks - http://writerjocarter.com/author-inte...

Kind Regards
Jo Carter
